Having problems with your Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2 Digital Camera ?

I have a Panasonic Lumix T27 and my photos at night parties and concerts always turn out dark and terrible. Can you please tell me the correct settings to rectify this problem and for fast taking shutter speeds. I want the colour and photos at concerts to be perfect which so far is terrible. Thanks

Answers :

At night and at concerts, the light level is low. If your camera is on auto, it will try to fire the flash. It's only effective for about 8 feet. Anything farther away than that will be dark. In these instances, it's best to turn off the flash, set the ISO to a higher setting, and set the white balance for tungsten lighting. You'll need to hold the camera steady but you should get better shots.

Hi i am using a Nikon N75 to take pictures for my photo class, and the instructor wants us to take low light indoor phtotos at a shutter speed of 1/30 at f2.2. However, when i go to set these settings in manual mode the camera will not let me set my aperture to 2.2 it usually stops at 4 and there is no way i can make it 2.2. i didn't know if there is a limitation on the camera but it seems like i should be able to select what i want.

It's probably a limitation of your lens. You didn't say what lens you're using, but one of the common kit lenses sold with the N75 only goes to f/3.3 at best. If you had a lens that opens up more, the camera will let you use it.The differ ... Nikon Digital Cameras

The shutter speed priority setting on my Canon 40D keeps jumping to a different speed that I haven't set. E.g - set at 200, jumps to 25 when I go to take a photo. I have spoken to Canon regarding the problem and they have suggested that I clear the user settings. This initially solved the problem for all of an hour, but the problem has now started up again. I'll probably be sending it in, as I think it might be a problem with the hardware, just thought I'd check here first. Any suggestio

I have a Fuji S1000FP and for the most part it takes great photos EXCEPT when I take pictures into the sun then my photos are either white or black and no image. I will admit I just want a point and shoot camera because I don't understand shutter speed and such. However, I have attempted to change the shutter speeds and still nothing. I have tried all the pre settings as well. (This camera claims to be one of the better outdoor cameras. ) Can anyone offer words of wisdom on this. Ruth

Shutter release I just purchased this camera and while I was taking a photo indoors I pressed the upflash button and eversince then every single button I press on the camera (including the off switch) sets off the shutter release. Hey there. I have a Fujfilm Finepix A820. Yesterday I noticed that when I turn it on and try to take a picture, as soon as I touch the shutter button to take a shot the camera turns off, but the lens is still out, it does not retract. My friends say this was the end of my camera. But I can do whatever I want with it, set it, watch photos I took before. Is it some kind of error, because of batteries or does it need a professional fix-up? Please help!

I have a new (3 weeks) D700 and while taking photos yesterday with camera and a 16-35mm lens, the exposure meter went ape. Pictures taken ok but ERR started to flash where shutter speed reading should be displayed in viewfinder. Tried everything, including resetting to factory settings, detaching and reattaching lens, checking switches, and then went home in despair. At home I switched to a 50mm lens and the problem disappeared. I put the 16-35mm lens back and problem seemed to have disappeared.

When taking photos with the camera set at the shutter priority, all the photos come out black. I have a lens with a f/2.8, but the on the screen on top the camera, the f reading is showing LO. I have taking photos for the last three weeks off our high school football games with the camera set up in shutter priority, iso at 1250 and my f/2.8. now for some reason the f reading is showing LO and all photos are black.

You mention everything except the shutter speed. When the aperture shows "Lo" it's saying that there isn't enough light at your selected shutters peed to produce a good exposure. That's why you have dark photos. You may need to bump the ISO up hi ... Nikon D300 Body Only Digital Camera

I have copied and pasted someone elses problem, because it is the same one I am having. I own a D90 and of late have had problem getting the shutter to actually fire and take a photo at times. It will work sometimes and not at others. I have tried changing the memory card - putting it on manual etc but still won't work. The battery is fully charged. It occasionally comes up with an r05 and r21 code in the R lower box and a flashing F at the top R when this seems to happen. I haven't played with the settings all that much - just since this has begun happening. Can you make any sugge

The r codes you mention are related to speeds of buffering information onto the memory card. A high ISO NR setting on the camera has a huge impact.... the cross over point is 800 ISO. If you have it on, and are on 800 or over, the remaining buffer ca ... Nikon Digital Cameras

The flash has been working fine until last night when I tried to take a picture and the flash was set to auto. When I press the button the little red light beside the flash sign lights up, but the camera does not take the photo. When I set it to flash mode, it still won't take a photo. When I turn off the flash, then it does. What could be the problem? Is it in the settings?

I was having troubles with my Nikon D2H as in it wouldn't take a picture. I then realized my memory card was full so I deleted a few photos and it worked fine. This afternoon I deleted all the photos from the memory card and now it's having the problem of not taking photos again. I played around a bit with the settings, but it will only take 5 to 10 photos before no it stops taking photos. It used to hold 100+ with the memory card I have. Help?

White out Every photo I take seems to white out, as if it is letting in to much light. But it is more than this, as it is possible to see white streaking on the image as well. I have also tried taking photos in various manual settings, resulting in the same problem. It seems to be a little better in doors. However when I use video mode the image is normal. Long Photo-Taking Hello, I have an S400 with a pretty fast memory card... It seems like its taking a longer time to take a photo than it used to? I'm prety sure it hasnt always been this slow.. I got a new battery etc.. Thanks!

Most cameras take a little longer to capture the photo in darker conditions, with a moving subject, things like that, though if the photos you're taking now are under the same conditions as the ones you used to that shouldn't be the issue.
