I have a Canon Power Shot S2-15 (5.0 mega pixels) My husband was taking pictures in the house and the image stopped showing up on the view finder or the screen. One minute it was working, the next it wasn't. I am hoping he changed a setting or something that can be reset. All of the menu items still appear, but there is no image. What happened? I really don't want to have to buy a new camera before we go on vacation. HELP!!!

My S9600 was left unused [batteries left in camera] for several months. Now it will work fine with the mains adaptor, but is completely dead when on battery power. My Sigma SD9 rapidly drains battery power; and I don't mean over a short period of time, but over a few minutes. Regardless of new or fresh rechargeable batteries, the drainage is frustratingly consistent. Have had the camera quit responding regardless of 3 sets of AA rechargeables, or non-rechargeables with more than 3/4 capacity left installed within 45 minutes of my last attempt to use this camera at a Botanical garden close to where I live. Other than junk it is there a way to solve this

Camera FX35 was working fine. In middle of taking pix in Oxford, screen suddenly refused to come back on, although optical viewfinder works and on screen viewing of taken shots works OK. 790SW Problems You mentioned you are on your third one. So do you just keep sending them back to Olympus with the receipt and they keep sending you new ones? Is the battery charger supposed to blink when it is charging? I was snorkeling with mine when it seized up and wouldn't work anymore. I was turning it on and off so that I could save battery power. I guess something got stuck in there. Then it would let me view pix, but not take pix. Then it said the battery cover was open, when it wasn't.

Wickedwahine Just today, the directional buttons froze up so that the up/down, left/right arrow buttons no longer work to scroll through pictures nor can I use them to navigate menu items. I removed the battery for 1 min as suggested in troubleshooting but it still didn't work. I also tried to press and hold the control and power button (just a guess) trying to trigger a reset. The directional buttons worked very briefly after that but it might just have been a fluke.

Olympus e10 problem. Even with new batteries, could only take a couple of shots before the low battery icon came up & camera shut down. Would work fine using mains supply. Fixed by buying new battery holder. Now 3 weeks later doesn't work again - low battery then switch off both using batteries or mains power supply. I have a canon SD1100 I just purchased and after a few minutes the camera will not shut off, the power button won't work and I have to open the battery cover to turn it off. Somehow this completely drains the battery too every time even if it was just charged. Also the camera turns itself on by itself about 10 minutes after you put the battery in it and once again you can't turn it off. I got another battery and the same thing happens. Otherwise it works fine.

Hard reset of Nikon s8100? My menu button isn't working at all. The only one that is working is the round scene-selector button on top...and even that one stops working after I press the shutter button (which doesn't respond either). I've tried removing the battery for a few hours and replacing it, but that didn't help. Is there a way to remove the backup battery as well? Is there a button or a trick to doing a "hard reset" without having to use the menu??
