Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 spots on pictures

\015 I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 which is showing spots on all the pictures. This is likely due to dust on the CCD sensor. This is easy to fix on an SLR type camera, but I have no idea how to get to the sensor on this camera. Is it possible to remove the lens to get to the CCD or is there an easier solution. I really hate to have to pay Panasonic $160 to clean my camera as that's half the cost of a new unit. Thanks for any suggestions!\015

Answers :

Upgrade to the TZ3 or TZ5. TZ3 is smaller and has a great wide angle lens. You can get a very good buy on Ebay for a used or new TZ3 because it has been replaced with the latest TZ5.

You can likely get about $40 dollars for yous, if it has all the stuff it shipped with, even with the problem you mention, since repairmen buy time to fix and resell on ebay.

Hi--I have a panasonic lumix DMC-FP8, which I bought in May 2010. The camera is great for outdoor landscapes, etc. but I've had problems with low lighting and red eye. The camera has trouble focusing on the subjects, and there are often white spots all over the picture (even though I've cleaned the lens and checked to see if there were scratches or dirt on it). In addition to this, I have the red eye setting on, but I still get really awful red eye in all of my pictures. The camera is still new

Ref: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 Camera. The cover plate over the LCD screen cracked (left side). So far, the LCD display itself is not affected. Is it possible to replace just the cover plate without having to install a new LCD unit? If so do you have a part number for the plate? I understand that cracking of the LCD screen is a recurring problem with the Lumix series of digital cameras and also that Panasonic has taken a hard line r.e. guarantee coverage. I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1. Once I transfer the media cards pictures onto the computer and then re-insert the card into the camera, all pictures seem to have been deleted.
