Shutter Lag All, I have an Olympus 5050 Digital Camera that I have been using for a while now for home use and I am quite happy with the results. The only complaint I have is with the capture speed of the camera. The shutter lag seems to be about between 3-5 seconds which becomes quite obvious while taking pictures of moving objects (moving kids). I don't know if the issue is with the shutter speed of the camera or with the slower memory cards. I am using the SimpleTecg 256 MB Compact Flash card

Card speed won't interfere with shutter lag.\015\012\015\012The lag is much less (near non-existent) if you pre-focus. Or use manual focus with small enough aperture to get lots of depth of field. Make sure your kids are in the focus zone and just sn ... Olympus Camedia C-5050 Zoom Digital Camera

I was at a basketball game last night and taking pictures with the d80 and the 55-200 lens. All of the pictures I took in auto focus were blurry. I changed it to the S mode with shutter speed at 4000 and those pictures came out completely dark with nothing in the picture. I changed the setting to the sports mode and the shutter speed is not fast enough because I have the same issue with blurring or out of focus.

My camera is brand new, got it just last week. I tried using the S mode on the mode dial and tried shooting with the fastest shutter speed, but all pictures turned out to be blank/black. The same happened for the P, A and M mode. May I know if it's a problem with my settings or the camera?

Shutter speed Hi all, I just recently bought the s400, and I love the camera, though I will admit I was disappointed that I couldn't control the shutter speed. I am confused though, becuase looking at reviews and pictures taken by the s400 the author said what the shutter speed was - how could they possibly know that? Is there a way to tell what your shutter speed is? I can't figure it out .. It is said that shutter is best at 1/125 for motion pictures - so how will I know if thats what my sh

My Sony Alpha 200 digital camera takes lovely pictures, but as I am a beginner and don't really know much about apertures and shutter speeds and how complex they are, I'm having great difficulty in getting it to focus properly in the manual setting. All other settings are fine, but the image in my viewfinder is very blurry when I look through before taking the shot. Hello jenmardi,First, the fstop and shutter speed question ... For a lens of 70 mm I would use the manual with shutter speed at least 1/250 or 1/500, then the fstop I would set at 2.8 or just under this, no more than 4. You need as much l ... Nikon D200 Digital Camera with 18-200mm Lens

Shutter speed I have had my camera for 6 months. Today I used it for soccer pics and put it on sport mode and every pic I took is blurry. We looked on the information of the pics and the shutter speed is really low. My husband started to look and try to manually adjust some things and the speed will not change. States LOW. I also looked at the soccer portraits I took right before the action shots same day...and some of those are a little blurry as well. What could be wrong? Please help!

Blurry pics The last time I used this camera, most of the pictures came out very blurry. I had to try to hold the camera completely still to keep them reasonably clear. These were just pictures of people, no sports, etc. It was on the usual auto setting. Even the ones that weren't too blurry were very grainy. It has worked fine in the past and I have never dropped it or gotten it more than rained-on wet. What could be the problem?

I have a Fuji S1000FP and for the most part it takes great photos EXCEPT when I take pictures into the sun then my photos are either white or black and no image. I will admit I just want a point and shoot camera because I don't understand shutter speed and such. However, I have attempted to change the shutter speeds and still nothing. I have tried all the pre settings as well. (This camera claims to be one of the better outdoor cameras. ) Can anyone offer words of wisdom on this. Ruth

I have a Lumix FZ35. I loaded some still pictures from a 4GB memory card onto my PC. After selecting several pictures into a new folder I began to edit several of the pictures to get them just right. When I then loaded them back onto a 2GB memory card in order to play them as a slide show on my HD TV through the camera, all the pictures that I cropped (a feature that doesn't exist on the camera itself) came out blurry and an error "Thumbnail is Displayed" reads across the picture.
