Having problems with your Pentax Digital Cameras ?

A little help if you would be so kind? I have just aguiered a Pentax ME super and am having a little bit of trouble understanding the light meter. The worse thing is I also have the manual, which you'd think would throught some light on the subject, but I think a lot of that has been lost in traslation. Any pointer would be greatfully recieved. Thank you Nathan

Hi Nathan,
\015\012Let's start shooting without film, first.
\015\012Example: shooting outside on a bright day, let says between 10:00 to 14:00 with some clouds.
\015\012Set camera ASA/ISO to 100
\015\012Set lens to the highest number, that's the largest F Stop number.
\015\012Set camera to P, which is program. Camera will select aperature and shutter for you.
\015\012All you need is the focus and look at those LED lights, to make sure it won't lit & flashing up at the top as well as on the bottom.
\015\012If you are viewing a image that is bight without clouds, then the Shutter should be 125 and the Aperature 16. If in the shade, it will be Aperaure 11.
\015\012Start with that first.

Water damage? A little bit of water got on my camera. Once I noticed, I wiped it off and tried to turn the camera on and it wouldn't. Once I got home, I charged the battery, thinking maybe that would help. I put the battery back in and now there is an orange/red light on the front of the camera that won't go away, and it still won't turn on.

After about 50 on & Off's the camera turns on but doesn't come out of playback. I have to open the battery compartment and close it then when I turn it on it will go into capture mode. When I take a picture it is washed out with lots of little vertical lines. Did the lense get knocked out of whack? Can I reset this? Any help will be ap

Close-up picture Hi! I purchased my camera to take up close-up pictures of handmade greeting cards. The cards are 4" x 5 1/2" with lots of little details. I'd like to show as much detail as possble. I'm not sure what the best setting are? I've tried using the flash, but the whole picture just glares out, the light bounces off of the card and makes a big glare in the center. Without the flash, the picture is too dark. Can you help me figure out the best setting to use? Or, what kind of lighting

I have a Polaroid Impulse QPS and it won't turn on anymore. Usually to take photos I open the flash and a little red light comes on next to the button that you press to take a picture. In a couple seconds it turns to green and I can take the picture, but all of a sudden the light stopped going on at all. so when I press the button, nothing happens. I was thinking maybe it's a battery problem, but I can't figure out where to put batteris in the camera! I got it used, so I've never done it be

Canon Powershot Camera A460 sudenly produce pictures that are overexposed .The view on LCD and Computer is extremely light . Lots of light and little detail. I have removed the 3Volt battery and refitted , no improvement

Alright.. Heres the question. Me and my nephew put his Sanyo digital camera onto his handel bars. We tied it on there good to go a bike cam but some how when he was messing with it, if fell when he was riding and he thinks he ran it over. The lence won't go back in and also it turns on for a second then clicks off. We put it on the charger thinking it was dead and the power light blinks like it would when it charges but nothing happened yet. (He was riding on gras by the way) Could it be broken?

I have seen this a few times, there are some plastic parts that get broken easily in those point and shoot digital cams, when that first happened to me i found a lot of online "tutorials" for it, but the truth is that is broken and it is not very exp ... Sanyo Xacti VPC-T700 Digital Camera

I have a nikon n75 camera and just recently it started not wanting to take pictures. specifically, everytime i try to meter the light and take a picture, the digital readout starts flashing a little fEE symbol at me and won't take the picture. i don't want to buy a new camera or spend a lot of money having this one fixed. so, an inexpensive solution to this problem is...?

Brightness I recently bought the Olympus Stylus 700 and took it on a vacation with me and it worked fine, but shortly after returning, the camera began to take extremely bright pictures, in fact if there is any natural light (not produced by the flash), there is nothing but the vague outlines of some objects. I adjusted the shutter speed to little avail and even thought formatting the memory card would help. Now I have no idea what else to do, aside from taking it back for its warranty.

Fish photographing I have a HP 3.5 (i think) and it takes great pictures of family pets etc ... but, how do I take clear pictures of fish? Yeah, things in water it doesn't capture so well, everything comes out very blurry. I use a lot of light, don't zoom, use the action settings and all that jazz, but still it doesn't come out nice. Please help me

I have had good luck with fish pictures by pressing the front of the lens barrel up against the glass.\015\012\015\012This blocks out reflections that the glass will cause and it also holds the camera very steady.\015\012\015\012If it is a small curv ... But not much at all. But my camera has completely stopped working and its stuck with the zoom out and everything. Lens error When I turn on Nikon Cool Pix S230, it tries to adjust the lens for a little bit then it says lens error.  It is only a few months old.  I think what caused the problem was the last time I took  a picture there was a strobe light in the background which caused the picture to look funny.  Then a few days later when I tried to work the camera I got this problem.  thank you!

I am a freelance writer. I have a Canon PowerShot A1000IS that I use to take photos to go along with articles I write for the local paper. Recently almost all the pictures I take are blurry on the top 1/3 of the photo. It hasn't always been this way and it doesn't happen all the time so it makes me think that possibly I have somehow gotten some of the settings off. I was given a Panasonic Lumix Lc20 camera. The little green light comes on and beeps but has no display. What would cause this?

We have a Kodak 8.2 mega pixel camera that is approximately 1 1/2 years old. I took pictures and then uploaded them onto my computer. Unplugged everything. When I went back to delete the pictures off the camera card, the camera would not turn on or do anything. I tried to charge the battery but when everything is plugged in it is still totally dark. Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green. Initially, the shutter released, but later would not operate either with a remote, or by manually depressed the shutter release button. Switching back to auto, the camera seemed to work fine, but in this mode could not get the desired shutter speed. In full manual

DSC-T7 Blurriness Last week I purchased a DSC-T7 and I am having several problems with picture quality. Mainly, any white or light object in the picture (whether it be a t-shirt or a blanket etc.) has a extremely blurry edge, almost like a halo. Other areas of the picture then would be rather dark. I don't think it is an autofocus issue. I have set the EV to -1.0, the WB to Auto, the contrast, sharpness, and I everything else to normal. Can the camera be adjusted to fix this? thanks

Try this test:\015\012Mount the camera on a tripod or set it on a secure base and use the self timer to trip the shutter. Doing this will totally eliminate any possibility of camera shake causing blurriness.\015\012\015\012If the picture is still blu ... Sony DSC-T7 Digital Camera

Would it be best for me to do manual settings, if so which one? Thanks Julie
