Hi,
Maybe you can try sensor cleaning mode;
Go to Menu>Set-up>Sensor cleaning, press right than choose "Mirror Up", wait a moment than power off the camera. Maybe this can help.

My Pentax K100D has suddenly stopped working. It hasn?t been bumped or dropped or anything. A few days ago I was still taking pictures, and then a day or two later when I tried it, it wouldn?t work. When you press the shutter release button, nothing happens. No autofocus, no picture is taken, nothing. The only thing is that you hear a fairly rapid clicking sound, perhaps like a gear wheel turning or something. I tried various settings, new batteries, a different lens, autofocus, manual focus, ev

Dropped my pentax k100d. Lense is fine, Camera says card locked, will not delete or fire shutter. Sent for repair, was told circuit board was damaged and quoted £306 for repair. Is it possible to buy a new circuit board and have it fitted as I can not afford the quoted amount on repairs, Also this a great camera.

Camera shuts down after shutter button is pressed. It shuts down halfway through the shutter operation. Everything else works fine-reviewing pictures, settings in menu, focusing, exposure settings etc. The camera focuses ok when the shutter button is half pressed then when you press the shutter button fully, the mirror goes up, shutter appears to open then the camera shuts down with no power. Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green. Initially, the shutter released, but later would not operate either with a remote, or by manually depressed the shutter release button. Switching back to auto, the camera seemed to work fine, but in this mode could not get the desired shutter speed. In full manual

Shutter speed Hi all, I just recently bought the s400, and I love the camera, though I will admit I was disappointed that I couldn't control the shutter speed. I am confused though, becuase looking at reviews and pictures taken by the s400 the author said what the shutter speed was - how could they possibly know that? Is there a way to tell what your shutter speed is? I can't figure it out .. It is said that shutter is best at 1/125 for motion pictures - so how will I know if thats what my sh

I have a Fuji Finepix A800. It shuts off when I press the shutter button. I put new batteries in and also opened it up to see if I could realign the shutter. It was dropped once, and someone online suggested that the shutter needs to be realigned after being dropped. I have it open, but don't know what to do to realign the shutter. Can anyone help?

The shutter runs in a track and there is nothing to be aligned. If the track or guides have been damaged then they need to be replaced. Unfortunetly this is not cost effective on this camera. It will cost as much as buying a new replacement. If you a ... Fuji FinePix A800 Digital Camera

I bought a second hand d70s. it seems to have a problem. the shutter release button does not seem to do anything when pressed half way (like auto focus). I can only get autofocus to work if i program AE-L/AF-L button to AF-ON. I press the AE-L/AF-L button on the back, then press the shutter to take the shot. And if i set the AE Lock On, pressing the shutter button half way does not lock the exposure setting. so there seems to be an issue with the shutter button itself...is there an easy fi

Is there the equiv of "focus priority shutter release" Comments: Jan 09, 2010 - by "focus priority shutter release" I mean the ability to instruct NOT to allow shutter release (ie FULL depression of the shutter button" UNTIL focus is achieved and confirmed. I have this feature on all my NIKON and OLY pro and prosumer level cameras as well as my Panasonic GH1 (just got this little beauty and love it). I'm asking the question on behalf of a friend who just got the LEICA V-LUX 1. Thanks in ad

I don't have the V Lux, but based on what the operation manual says, the camera will not work this way. It's designed for you to press the shutter release halfway until you get focus indication, and then to fully press to take the picture. \0 ... Leica V-LUX 1 Digital Camera

Broken shutter I dropped my canon powershot A540, and now the shutter doesn't work. teh camera seems to functional perfectly otherwise. I was in the middle of shooting a wedding, when suddenly my camera said that it was 'busy' - it was taking a while to go back to normal, so I decided to shut the camera off and just turn it back on again (I didn't mind loosing the last image). When I turned the camera back on... all of the sudden the shutter kept going off extremely fast (without me pressing the shutter button). I turned the camera back off, but the shutter kept going off. I freaked out and too the battery out to make it stop.

Shutter Lag All, I have an Olympus 5050 Digital Camera that I have been using for a while now for home use and I am quite happy with the results. The only complaint I have is with the capture speed of the camera. The shutter lag seems to be about between 3-5 seconds which becomes quite obvious while taking pictures of moving objects (moving kids). I don't know if the issue is with the shutter speed of the camera or with the slower memory cards. I am using the SimpleTecg 256 MB Compact Flash card

Card speed won't interfere with shutter lag.\015\012\015\012The lag is much less (near non-existent) if you pre-focus. Or use manual focus with small enough aperture to get lots of depth of field. Make sure your kids are in the focus zone and just sn ... Olympus Camedia C-5050 Zoom Digital Camera

To adjust the focus on the camera you are suppose to press the shutter button halfway down and it will lock your focus in and then press the shutter button again and take the picture. It was working fine and the next time I turned my camera on this option would not work. I try the press the shutter button down halfway the it does nothing. All I can do now it press it all the way to take the picture. I have an Olympus E-420 digital SLR camera.
