Camera lens movement mechanism seems to be damaged, as when switched on, the camera lens does not extend out completely and the object appears blurred on the screen. Similarly when switched off, the lens does not retract back completely and it needs a manual push to put it in a little more. But even then it does not go in fully. Rest of the functions are working well. The damage is the result of an accidental body weight going on the camera, when it was in on condition.

I have a EOS-650, 35mm film camera(not digital)body. I want to purchase a lens for it. I need to know what model number lens and type will be compatable for this camera body? There are several to choose from but only certain types of lens will work on this type camera body. Some examples are EF type and USM type. I do not want to purchase a lens that I will be over paying for or that will not work on this type of body or is not design for it all together.

The camera was in a bag, though not well padded. It fell about 6 feet onto gravel and landed face down on the lens side. It was dead for a few minutes, then resumed working. But since the impact, most images are out of focus. Did I damage the lens or what?

I have the SX-10. The view finder, before grabbing scene has a spider-web pattern, which does not show up in shots. This problems is minor compared to the zoom control sticking. I have disassembled the body to see if there is dirt or other visible reason, but see nothing. I have four other cameras, and am retiring this one, because it takes too much fiddling. If I could get it working well, I could give it away. Any non-pro solution?

The camera will not turn on after being dropped. When I switch it from off to on, the green power LED flashes briefly. The lens does not move or attempt to extend. The LCD backlight does not illuminate. The LCD appears to be slightly damaged: there is some slight non-uniformity visible when I shine a strong light on it. Otherwise the camera shows no sign of damage. Is it possible that the damaged LCD is preventing the camera from turning on? Is there a hard reset procedure I should try? I've t

I have a Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 Macro lens working on a Nokon D40X and Nikon D300. For medium to long distances the autofocus does not seem to work with this lens. I think it used to but now I notice that from about 40 feet away the autofocus does not work. The same happens with both cameras. Other lenses work fine so I don't think it is the camera. My D70 (which I just bought on ebay) is having problems with AF. At time the AF works fine but then for no reason it refuses to work for hours to days. I have two bodies so I can swap lenses to see that its not the lens. If I switch to manual focus, it the camera works fine. I can see the little pins around the lens fitting retract when I switch the camera to manual. Seems like a problem with the internals that control AF. No other problems are apparent to me. Any suggestions?

Nikon D80. It worked fine until recently (maybe after I took pictures during whale-watching in a heavy rain and camera got wet). Now the view in the viewfinder is kind of greyish and blurry.
