Having problems with your Pentax Optio E40 Digital Camera ?

Cameras continually die around me.

\015 Whenever I use a digital camera on a regular basis, it starts to show certain problems before eventually refusing to turn on after a couple of months/weeks.\015\012\015\012At first the camera will work fine, then the batteries will start to have shorter and shorter lifespans. It starts out that I can just take the batteries out and then put the same batteries back in and it will work for a little while longer, but after a while it will not turn on for new batteries. I've tried Eveready, Duracell and even Lithium.\015\012\015\012This has happened to THREE digital cameras I've owned and a friend lent me their camera to use, believing that what I told them is nonsense. They're camera is broken too (I'm not bothered by that fact I'm buying them a new one, I'm bothered by the fact I broke someone else's camera). I've also used rechargable batteries and they begin to exhibit lower and lower lifespans in the cameras I use. Even lithiums only last a few days even when I don't turn it on. I'm not a camera genious and I'm aware there's alot of problems with digital camera battery lifespans, but if I use a digital camera with duracell batteries it will be dead within a half hour. Any advice anybody can give would be really helpful, because at the moment all I'm going on is that a friend told me I must have a wierd "acidity" level.\015

Is your real name Rod Serling? There's no logical explanation for what is happening when you operate a digital camera. Someone needs to monitor you from the very beginning as you use a camera to determine what is going on.
I think the camera must have been discharging the batteries, since you said you have used a rechargeable batteries, and second do you remove the batteries from the camera whenever it is unused, because leaving it inside the camera when not use can diminish the power contained in the battery. Try to study the camera again by making sure the rechargeable batteries you are using are fully charge and kindly try to be removing the battery from the camera whenever you are not using it and see if it works.

Just purchased a canon A590. on page 84 of user guide, continuous shooting is described. I'm somewhat familiar with SD cards, but Canon implies that I have to use their MSH type SD card to use the continuous shooting feature. When I look at the drive modes in my camera, I only see 4 possible modes....single pic, 10 sec delay, 2 second delay, and delay continuous. There is an icon for continuous shooting in the book, but it does not appear on my camera. Why?

I don't own an A590 but I've been handling cameras since the Kodak Instamatic days, so I'll try to help you. I checked out the Canon website for the A590. and they don't specifically state the MSH type SD card. The camera can do 1.4 fps or frames p ... Canon Digital Cameras

I got my camera around January 2008 but I haven't gotten to use it for around a year and a half. This is the first time I can try to fix it due to costs and other problems. I think the camera is having CCD problems because I can't take pictures without them being black but I can see previous pictures just fine. I've heard that repairs for this sort of thing are expensive especially once the camera is out of warranty- with luck, mine happens to be out of warranty. How can I fix this? And if I wer

Pentax Optio 555 Digital Camera. Once I have taken a couple of photos in a row, the camera continually flashes red & green. Like it is continually thinking. I cannot then even get the camera to shut down eithout removing the battery or just leaving it until it times itself out. If i remove the battery, I still have to turn it on & then off again to get the lense to retract. Can you help to solve this problem. It does it no matter what the charge in the battery is like. Hello ... Digital Cameras

Olympus FE-140 I keep having to install new batteries. The batteries die after a short usage time and I always shut my camera off when not in use. The batteries are not 'dead' because I test them but a lot of their juice is used up (about 1/2). Is this normal for this type of camera. They also die if the camera is not used for lets say a couple of weeks. Thanks!

My opinion, it is not because of your battery. But it is happen because of some of your camera component is damage. I think it is 'Power IC'. I've got this experienced through repairing my customer digital camera. The posible cause of this damage is ... Olympus FE-140 Digital Camera
