Canon PowerShot A495 - Brand new. Used it once and took 40 photos. It then told me to change the batteries which I did. From then on it keeps saying "change the batteries" I've used alkalines and also rechargeable NiMH, These are either new or fully recharged batteries and still I get the same message. I have also cleaned the terminals inside the camera and even those on the batteries themselves. No change. This is clearly not a battery problem. This is a camera problem and its seems I am not th

Battery problem This morning I turned on my brand new Nikon Coolpix 5400 and got nothing on the screen. pushed some buttons and still nothing. Went to turn it off and it won't. The lens stays extended and the power light is still on. I don't know if maybe the batteries are so low they can't do anything, but I was under the impression that the camera had an indicator for the batteries really needing to be recharged. The low battery light was on last night, but I haven't seen need to be recharged

Some of these cameras go from "low" to "no" very quickly. The electronics are more sensitive to available voltage than the mechanicals and it doesn't take full voltage to keep an led lit or to retract the lens. But the cpu shuts down. I would have ex ... Nikon Coolpix 5400 Digital Camera

My Canon SD950 IS camera will take about 30 seconds to take a flash picture. You have to hold down the shutter button for a long time. The flash indicator flashes on the display for quite a while and then the picture is finally taken. This seems to have happened after the battery was run down to nothing. After that, this flash problem appeared. I have got another battery but this still happens. I have reset to default settings as well . Still has problem. What is wrong?

My Nikon coolpix camera lost it's charge very quickly after recharging the battery. I replaced the battery. The problem still exists with a brand new battery. What could be causing the camera to drain the battery? What other problem could it be?

My Canon A510 batteries die out at a very fast rate after recharging. They are Ni-Mh batteries. Could this be a camera problem? I have purchased new batteries in the past and the problem still exists.

Hi , My Fuji S9600 has just refused to power-up using batteries, although it still powers-up and operates correctly when i attach the mains PSU adapter. I wonder if this is a common occurrence on this model and how easy it is to get sorted. Do you think if i reset the camera in the menu that would cure the problem , or

The batteries in my canon powershot A460 get used out really fast. Too fast! I tried using rechargable and unrechargable batteries, bought a whole bunch by now and allways the same problem. I know a bit about electronics and I'm guessing the supply circuit in the camera is not working as it should, my opinion is that some capacitor has a wrong value.

My Nikon CoolPix 5700 seems confused about OFF and ON, and now I can't take a photo becase it won't stay ON long enough for me to press the shutter release.
