Having problems with your Samsung Digimax S600 Digital Camera ?

The camera was working fine until I purchased a pack of kodak rechargeable batteries. After a week or so of using them my camera stop coming on when I would press the power button, it would make this beeping noise and the lens wouldn't extend. After continuously pressing the power button I got it to come on but again the lens did not extend and the screen was frozen. Why am I having this problem and how can I fix it?

Last time I tried to turn on my camera (Samsung SL502) the lens came out but the screen didn't come on. I hit the power button again and nothing happened, now the lens is extended and won't go back in...pressing the power button does nothing but the camera makes a funny sound. Please help. Camera is 6 months old.

Lens error When I try to zoom the lens, it comes up with a lens error. We just got back from a trip to the beach, where my daughter accidentally kicked up sand while she was running toward me and I had the camera ready to take her picture. When I power up the camera I can hear a gritty sound when the lens extends. I've cleaned up the rest of the camera, but don't know how to get the sand out of the lens housing.

I have a samsung L100 camera, my lens got stuck and the camera would not turn on, I pushed the lens in while turning the power button on, the lens came out and the camera is now functioning, only the pictures are extremely blurry unless zoomed all the way in. Any suggestions?

You've misaligned the lens barrel I think. there's not much you can do to solve this short of a repair, which generally outweighs the price of the camera, due to the insane price of the individual parts. You can try realigning the lens barrel by doin ... Samsung L100 Digital Camera

About seven days ago bought shelf display Fujifilm S1000. Worked fine at the store. Got home, read instructions, powered up, lens would not extend, "zoom error" displayed. Camera was room temp. When switched on, camera beeps, extend motor clicks, sounds like a gear engages for a split second. Took back to store next evening, it worked fine. Next try at home, same problem. Back to store, worked fine. Tried at home and at work, still "zoom error". Again to store, worked fine. Ready to return, stil

Toshiba PDR-M700 When I power up the camera, the lens will not come out and sometimes will come out all the way to maximum zoom. When I power off with the lens out, it clicks as if something is stripped or loose. After shut down, I can push the lens back in. Once in a while the camera will work but eventually the "Lens Error" message comes up. This was a good expensive camera when I bought it but taking it in for service would probably cost more than the price of a new camera today. Can you sugg

I dropped my camera on the beach right as a shallow wave was coming in. In my fumbling to recover the camera I turned it on. The lens extended and remained that way. I took the plastic camera cover off, rinsed all parts (with purified water) that I could. I air and low heat blew dry the camera over several day, and re-assembled it. When I insert batteries I get a power light, but get no lcd screen, no sound of pictures taken on full compression of picture button, no further extension or ret

When I power up the camera the lens opens and immediately retracts and the camera shuts off. I've attempted to push every button while turning on the camera to no avail. I also held onto the lens when it opened. Though the lens remained extended, the camera powered off. When I turned it back on the lens retracted and the camera powered off.

Battery problem This morning I turned on my brand new Nikon Coolpix 5400 and got nothing on the screen. pushed some buttons and still nothing. Went to turn it off and it won't. The lens stays extended and the power light is still on. I don't know if maybe the batteries are so low they can't do anything, but I was under the impression that the camera had an indicator for the batteries really needing to be recharged. The low battery light was on last night, but I haven't seen need to be recharged

Some of these cameras go from "low" to "no" very quickly. The electronics are more sensitive to available voltage than the mechanicals and it doesn't take full voltage to keep an led lit or to retract the lens. But the cpu shuts down. I would have ex ... Nikon Coolpix 5400 Digital Camera

Green light on camera back to the right of the 'delete' button continually flashes on-off about 1 second intervals as soon as battery is inserted as long as CF card is in place. Switching camera ON produces no visible operational indicators. Depressing "Menu" button flashes: hour glass; menu display; blank screen. Holding button down just cycles as above. Swapped lens, data card, battery, connected EH-5 power source; nothing makes any difference. Checked same lens in another D70 camera; it's OK.

I would start by looking into the memory card slot to see if you have a bent pin. You may need a small light and a magnifying glass to see them. If the pins are okay, then you can try a reset by holding down the BKT and metering buttons toget ... Nikon D70s Digital Camera with 18-200mm lens

I have a samsung L200 digital camera. It was working fine until my 2 year old little girl decided she needed to play with it. Not sure if she done something or not but now the camera will not work. Hi welcomejee, I read all your solutions regarding the digital camera Sony DSC N2. I really have to thank you for your precious Some of the problems are very similar to mine: After the camera fell on the ground from about 2 meters in off mode the lens would come out and immediately back in 4 times in a row. After that the lens is back in, a beeping sound comes up and on the display it is written to "Turn the power off and on again". Of course that does not help at all. The lens is opening

George, this is most likely a lens issue, and more precisely, probably a stripped gear when it fell. You will have to disassemble the entire unit to get at the lens assembly, and will probably be a professional by the time you get through! ... Digital Cameras
