I dont know If i changed any settings that may be slowing this down. Basicly I turnt he camera on and sometimes I have to hold the capture button down for 3-5seconds before it will actualy snap the photo, Any suggestions??? I'm prety sure it hasnt always been this slow.. I got a new battery etc.. Thanks!
Most cameras take a little longer to capture the photo in darker conditions, with a moving subject, things like that, though if the photos you're taking now are under the same conditions as the ones you used to that shouldn't be the issue. We just purchased a Nikon Coolpix L110 digital camera. We completed the start up process and attempted to take a few test photos. we took two photos with flash and on the second photos, a loud noise was heard when the flash operated. We could never get the flash to operate again. We have read through the troubleshooting guide supplied with the camera and changed batteries and settings. No luck. Hi, I have a panasonic Lumix, DMC-FS5 digital camera. When I turn the camera on and it's on 'photograph' mode, a message keeps appearing after a couple of seconds saying: "please turn camera off and then on again". I get the same message everytime and am unable to take any photos or even access the menu options. There are no problems when the mode is set to 'playback' mode. The images are still there and I can scroll through, as well as access the menu.

When taking photos with the camera set at the shutter priority, all the photos come out black. I have a lens with a f/2.8, but the on the screen on top the camera, the f reading is showing LO. I have taking photos for the last three weeks off our high school football games with the camera set up in shutter priority, iso at 1250 and my f/2.8. now for some reason the f reading is showing LO and all photos are black.
You mention everything except the shutter speed. When the aperture shows "Lo" it's saying that there isn't enough light at your selected shutters peed to produce a good exposure. That's why you have dark photos. You may need to bump the ISO up hi ... Nikon D300 Body Only Digital Camera

Why is my olympus e420 taking green tinted photos? I bought a new camera which I received yesterday, and it was until earlier, but has suddenly started taking yellowy/greeny tinted images. I've tried changing the settings, I've changed the camera modes, I reset the settings altogether and even changed lenses and yet the camera still takes tinted pictures, inside and outside. Also, when I switch the camera to live-view mode (shows exactly what the lens sees) it shows pretty much an entire green s

Canon Powershot A610 digital camera--LCD screen shows icons, but otherwise is blank--there is no visible movement in the lens when I take a picture without flash--have tried setting it on TV setting and taking a picture, then opening the battery cover for a few seconds after waiting 7 seconds or so, but no images on the LCD except the camera's icons--ideas? probably a stuck shutter, or is it still possibly the CCD sensor even though there's no visible movement in the lens? Ideas? Thanks!
Much more likely that it's a stuck shutter, especially for your model camera. How many tries did you give the fix? Some people stated that it took at least 15 repeated tries before the shutter opened:\015\012\015\012\015\012 ... Canon PowerShot A610 Digital Camera

Photos taken now not visible on memory card. I'm currently on vacation and have been taking photos on my DMC-TZ5. Camera has been working fine, until yesterday. I took a number of photos of a particularly memorable day when none of the group had a camera with them. The flash has been working fine until last night when I tried to take a picture and the flash was set to auto. When I press the button the little red light beside the flash sign lights up, but the camera does not take the photo. When I set it to flash mode, it still won't take a photo. When I turn off the flash, then it does. What could be the problem? Is it in the settings?

When I take a picture in either mode, when a flash is needed, the flash icon just blinks on the display. The camera will not take any photo when this is happening.
