Camera eats batteries in 2 minutes!

\015 Sanyo vpc s 1080 digital camera\015\012I bought the camera for my mother for christmas, she has used it maybe 3 times and now fresh new batteries last long enough to turn the camera on and get one picture before going dead.\302\240\015\012I have gone through every setting to make sure nothing is in any ''high'' or ''fine'' mode and that she is set on the smallest number of mega pixels just to see if this was the problem. No luck.\015\012\015\012Any help/suggestions? \302\240Thanks a ton!\015

Sorry to hear that you have problem with the camcorder. It does have few situations with not charging battery based on our repair experience. I would suggest to make sure the battery is fully charged and see how it goes. If there's any battery problem, you should send it to Sanyo for manufacture before the warranty expires. Makes sure send every thing back to Sanyo. Battery problem cannot be solved simply other than bad battery contact situation. -James

My camera is eating up batteries. I'll use it very little. Let's say I have a 2 hour photo shoot a week and the batteries are going soon after. I upload photos to computer so it is on for another 20 minutes for that. But that's it. It's never done this before.

Charging Problem Charging appears complete after about 15 minutes. Normal charging time is 90 minutes. When the camera is turned on the oblong battery level indicator is filled white where previously it contained diagonal markings. The white disappears rapidly as the battery discharges within just a few minutes. Enough time to take a couple of picture. The camera then shuts down. I sent the camera to a repair company who at first said they could repair it. Later they told me the camera wa

My Canon powershot SD20 seems to constantly have a drained battery. I have two batteries for it, and each one seems to be good for about five minutes, then the camera says change the battery pack and it shuts off. But when I plug the battery in to charge the green fully charged light comes on within a minute. Are BOTH of the batteries defective, or is this a problem with the camera itself?

I have a canon SD1100 I just purchased and after a few minutes the camera will not shut off, the power button won't work and I have to open the battery cover to turn it off. Somehow this completely drains the battery too every time even if it was just charged. Also the camera turns itself on by itself about 10 minutes after you put the battery in it and once again you can't turn it off. I got another battery and the same thing happens. Otherwise it works fine.

Camera's about 2 years old. With a fully charged battery it will take about 8 to 10 photos and then the battery indicates total discharge. I purchased a Sony Mavica cd250 camera in Nov 2002. I had no problems with it until about 4 years ago. I purchased a new battery, and all was fine. Until recently, I had not used my camera for several months. I could not get the camera to hold a charge (after it was plugged in and charged, I could unplug it and it would stay on for a few minutes. When I turned it off, it would not come back on). When I press the power button for my Olympus FE-190 to turn the camera on nothing happens. I haven't used it for a while so I initially thought that the battery might not have any charge. When I put the battery in the charger the charging light stays on for a few minutes and then goes out. I'm wondering if the battery needs replacing. I don't use the camera very often, have had it for a few years and, stupidly, have a tendancy to leave the battery in it when the camera is not in use.

7 May 2010 Hi there, I have an Olympus camera that I bought in June 2007. I had a two-year guarantee, which ran out last year. Now my camera won?t come on. This happened once before but when I put in new batteries (although the batteries I was using were fairly new), it worked again. Now, however, I?ve had no low-battery warning light and one minute the camera was working, the next it had stopped. I?ve tried putting in new batteries (straight out of the packet) but it?s made no difference. Can y
