Can you fit a sigma fit lens onto a nikon f mount camer. i have some great lenses on my old sd 10 but have gone over to nikon cameras

Answers :

If the lenses were for the Sigma camera, then unfortunately, they will not fit onto a Nikon camera. Sigma makes lenses for various different mounts; the operative word is "different."

I have an old interchangable lense from a Nikon camera that I used to use with film. My question is does the lense Sigma DL zoom 75-300 mm 1:4-5.6, fit or work on any of the digital camera today?

Yes. It will fit and work on every current Nikon digital camera. It will act longer, like a 125-450mm on the smaller sensor bodies (everything except the D700 and the D3 series). It will act like a 75-300mm on the D700 and the D3. It also won't autof ... Digital Cameras

I found a Quantaray 55-52 mm step down ring (Manufacture # 241664614) on Wolf Camera's website that I am interested in purchasing, but want to make sure it would work for me. I have some close up lenses (Hoya) for my old Canon SLR film camera (55mm) and was hoping I could use those lenses on my newer Nikon DSLR (52mm) camera. Would the step down ring make it possible to attach and use my old camera's close up lenses on my new DSLR camera? Thanks, Jerry

No. The 55-52mm step-down ring will let you attach a 52mm attachment onto a lens with a 55mm thread. You want a 52-55mm step-up ring. ... Digital Cameras

I have Nikon D50 (11 months old) with two NIKON lenses - 18-55 (came with camera) and 70-300 (from my old Nikon F65). I have recently noted a spot appear in certain shots (mainly where sky is present) that is there in the same place whichever lens I use. Could this be a dust speck or similar on the CCD? If so, is there an easy way of cleaning the sensor? Regards Roland Zilz UK

Hi..... Years ago I purchased a Vivitar Series 1 70-210 zoom lens with macro to fit my Konica SLRs. I also aquired a similar lense to fit my Minolta 101b. I have recently bought a Sony A100 digital SLR and would like to know if there are any converter rings available to use my old lenses on the new camera. I just love the one-stop zoom and focus operation. Any help appreciated Grayham

If your new DSLR has the ability to be used in some mode with accessories like microscopes, telescopes, and the like (perhaps via T-adapters), you should be able to mount the lens via a screw-mount adapter for your brand. Unless the lens has a switch ... Nikon D80 Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens

I receive the same "errr" message. The photo shop said it was a bad contact, they cleaned them with an eraser and made sure there was good contact. Problem was slightly better, but still exists. I have to remove the battery to clear the problem, turning it off and back on does no good. You can actually feel the lense move ever so slightly. Camera has gone back to Nikon for a repair. Very disappointed at this point with this. Camera store acknowledged that they have seen many of these.

Have Nikon Coolpix 885 dig. camera, bought in 2000, still works OK. I had been transferring the photos to my old computer using "Nikon View" 5 version 5.0.0 software that came with the camera and my Windows XP operating system with no problems. When I leave the fully charged battery in the camera for about 10 days it gets completely discharged. This is the original Nikon battery. I though the battery is old and bought a genuine Nikon battery. The issue is the same. My relatives have Nikon D200, D70s etc and they do not have these issues and the battery if left in camera last for more than 6 or many more weeks. How long should a fully charged battery last in the Camera ? ( I leave my camera off after use )
