Having problems with your Sigma SD9 Digital Camera ?

Battery Problem I was given an SD9 last month and so far like it except for some battery issues. Using fresh AA's it will often give me the 'low battery' warning as soon as they are loaded. I bought the CRV3's thinking that would solve it, it did initially, but after about 40 shots I took them out, tried some new AA's and again the low battery warning... replaced them with the CRV3's again, low battery (surely they were not run out after 40 shots?!) Everything is fine using power cable... but

You need to begin using rechargeable batteries immediately.\015\012\015\012Look for nickle metal hydride (NiMH) cells that are at least 1800 mah and preferrably more than 2000 mah. Get two sets and a charger. Print this and take it with you.\015\012\015\012You can buy these at any electronics store.\015\012\015\012You'll need to charge the batteries before you can use them. And they don't really give you full life until they've been charged and discharged a couple of times. In other words, the first few times, you'll get a shorter life cycle before they run down.\015\012\015\012But you should see a marked improvement almost immediately.

Battery/power-up problem Camera will not stay powered up. The "low battery" indicator shows up on the display, and then it shuts off shortly thereafter. I've tried many combinations of AA batteries to make sure it wasn't really a low battery problem. I have not used any of the batteries Sony warns against in their manual (e.g. Manganese, etc.). Any ideas before I go look for a new camera? Thanks in advance for your help. MG

I changed the batteries in my Power Shot A720 IS recently when the low battery warning flashed, and had taken only two photos when the warning flashed again. Battery life When I first had this camera, about 3 years ago, the rechargeable batteries I bought seemed to last for ages. But more recently the "low battery warning" has been coming on very shortly after inserting freshly charged batteries. I have tried using ordinary batteries (high powered) but even with these I can only take a few pictures before the warning light comes on. Once the light is on, the camera goes dead after a few more pictures so it's not giving me a false "low battery" warnin

We have a Canon Power Shot A570 IS, purchased October 30, 2007. We have purchased new AA-size NiMH batteries for it but the problem remains. Whenever you turn it on it shows "Batteries Low" and shuts itself off. You might be able to take 1 or 2 pictures before the batteries low light comes on. I understand that lithium batteries will not work in this camera. Please advise. Thanks, Eileen

My 'PowerShot A1100 IS' is not responding anymore when i put fresh AA batteries in. As soon as I turn on the camera, it says battery low, and will not take pictures. I did not have this problem with it previously. I have owned this camera for about 2 months and this has started happening approx a couple of weeks ago. Could this camera be defective? I have not yet used lithium batteries, and the camera previously worked well on regular AA batteries.

Low battery? I got my camera today, setup the setup menus, and had started to check out the features when the low battery warning came up. So I replaced the batteries and tried to turn the camera on but now all I get is the green light comes on for 3 seconds, goes off and approx. 5 seconds later the light flashes on, then off and the camera beeps 3 times, and nothing after that. The lens does not move at all. I went out and bought brand new batteries that were industrial strength and tried those

Fresh, fully charged batteries last about 15 seconds in the camera, with the orange "low battery warning" flashing, then it shuts down and dies! The batteries still read 1.343 Volts. Now, however, I?ve had no low-battery warning light and one minute the camera was working, the next it had stopped.
