My Sony DSC-T200 also vibrates periodically. I've never dropped it, and 90% of the time, its functioning just fine, but once in a while (usually for the duration of a whole event that I'd like to take pictures at), it vibrates very much like a cell phone with ringer set on vibrate. It seems to be the autofocus lense since the focus of the picture is also oscillating with the vibration. Is there a tooth on a gear broken or something? Is this camera prone to this? Should I avoid Sony DSC cameras i

I turned on my cam to see the camera making everything look distorted on the screen and distorted when I actually take a picture. Every other function works fine (like the menu screens etc.) so it's not a screen problem so it might be a lens problem or something. Can somebody please tell me what's wrong? My camera is a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T3 if it helps. http://yfrog.com/0idsc03740sej Here's a picture of my laptop taken with this camera :( Thanks in advance

I have a Canon 20D camera that I use with two lenses. The lens that I have most of my problems with is the 28-70 f2.8 red ring lens. When focusing It always seems to focus on what is behind the subject. No matter how much I concentrate on the focusing sensor to focus on the subject -AND it looks like it focuses on the subject-UNITL I load my photos and look at them in disgust that it focused behind it!! What is going on?? I use the same lens on my friend's cannon 5D and NEVER have this problem.

This is quite a well known problem called 'back focusing' there is little that can really be done about it, except if the camera is under warrnty you can send it in and they will do some laser alignment that fixes the problem, it would be worth a cal ... Canon Digital Cameras

My camera is in great condition and I'd hate to spend the money to get it fixed. It seems like everything else is working except for the lens...which is a big one! It never reads "ERROR" its just that the lens will not focus. It makes a noise when it is turned on like it is trying to focus. Even when I slightly hold the shutter button it makes a strange noise trying to focus but cannot. Any ideas of what I could do? I have air dusted it, gently pulled and twisted lens, restarted and recharge ba

Sony DSC-W100 I own a sony dsc w100 and it has been taking great photos. Unfortunatly I switched it on today and it no longer seems to be a ble to focus. I have cleaned the lens and the little circular piece of glass (think this bit measures distance for focus) but my photos are still blurred. The camera seems to permenantly have a little icon saying 'saf' in the bottom left corner of the screen. I wonder if this icon is the key to the problem and what it means? Is it a safe mode and if so how d

I have a canon EF 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM lens that has a zoom lock switch. When in the unlocked position and I try to zoom the lens it sticks at around the 200mm mark and cannot seem to move it below that positon, I need to wiggle the barrel before the zoom seems to "let go" and the lens goes to other positions. This is quite a problem as the lens cannot be operated in all its positions. Also when trying to get it unstuck, it feels like I am applying too much force and could further damage

Lens stuck I had been turning my Sony Cyber-shot DSC W50 off and on a few times, when suddenly as I went to turn it off, the lens got stuck and couldn't retract--just made this horrible mechanical noise like it was trying to do so but something was awry. Then this message comes up on the screen "Turn the power off and on again." I do as asked. Nothing. I take the (fully charged) battery out and see if that does the trick. Nope. No matter what I do, the lens will not retract, regardless of how ma

My D70 (which I just bought on ebay) is having problems with AF. At time the AF works fine but then for no reason it refuses to work for hours to days. I have two bodies so I can swap lenses to see that its not the lens. If I switch to manual focus, it the camera works fine. I can see the little pins around the lens fitting retract when I switch the camera to manual. Seems like a problem with the internals that control AF. No other problems are apparent to me. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a contact issue - either they are not making consistently or they are just dirty. I'd start with a good contact cleaner (Radio Shack or photo store) and spray the snot out of both the camera contacts and lense (making VERY sure to protec ... Nikon D70s Digital Camera

PANASONIC dmcfz8 Problem: When I turn on the camera and remove the lens cap I get a message on the lens that says "remove lens cap & press button". It seems like the zoom is stuck. My powershot s80 lens cover does not slide back, as if it stuck, any suggestions? I tried to slide back the lens cover to activate the camera but the cover does not move at all. I have never had any problems with my camera, it is about 2 years old. Recently, all my pictures have turned out blurry, it seems like the camera is just not auto focusing. I had a problem with this one day, then it started working again, and now it won't focus again. I don't understand if there is something wrong with my camera, or if I accidently pressed a button I shouldn't have.

If it happens when it is dark then you might have turned off the flash. otherwise ther might be a mechanical problem in focusing actuator in the lens. you could try to vaccuum the camera with a vaccuum cleaner on low power. in case there is dust insi ... Casio Exilim EX-Z77 Digital Camera

My Sony DSC H2 has almost 05 years of very light use. Suddenly it got a problem: it does not focus (very unfocused image - it does not move) and when you try to turn it off the lens moves backward and forward three times until it stops completely... Maybe something is locking the lens? CCD problem?? Please help me...

All of a sudden every picture I take with the 55-200 zoom lens is blurry and slightly out of focus. Pictures with the 18-55 lens are still sharp. I have been using that 55-200 lens for years for sports shots, and have never had any problem. I get the same blurriness shooting in both the auto sports setting and in shutter priority. It is a brand new issue. Could it be the AF servos starting to go in the lens, or am I doing something stupid?

Simplest answer is that you may have accidentally flipped the focus switch (A/M) on the lens to M. This turns off autofocus for that lens (which you might need to do if autofocus just can't resolve the image). Try turning it back to A.Ano ... Nikon D40x Digital Camera

Focus problems Hi, my camera is not focusing clearly. I bought this camera on ebay for my daughter- it seemed like a good idea at the time. I have the same model (bought new) & have no problems. The ebay camera went through batteries alarmingly fast and when I changed them they were hot. On our 6th day of ownership a message appeared on the screen that said "Lens error, restart camera" We could not restart the camera b/c it wouldn't do anything - it was dead and the lens won't retract.
