Having problems with your Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-F707 Digital Camera ?

Grainy Pictures Lately I have been looking at my images photographed at 1200X800 and seen they look quite grainy. I have no idea why they have all this grain, I have the sharpness at normal level and the quality set as FINE. The ISO is in auto mode also. Does anyone have any idea what it could be or how I can get better less grainy pictures.

Answers :

With the iso set on auto mode it will change depending on the light and anything above iso 200 is very bad on this camera i know have the 717 and it does a lot better but if you can set the iso yourself and take it off auto allways use 100 or 200 for low grain.

Nikon D40 pictures taken but too dark even in AUTO mode with flash on a bright day. also, some days ago I had the Shutter release error message while taking some photos. After that, the camera is acting weird, pictures sometimes are taken but the picture is always dark, although flash is used and AUTO mode selected. I do not see the error message anymore, but the camera simply do not take pictures properly. I tried formatting, etc with no result.

Grainy Pictures I received this camera as a Christmas gift, this past Christmas, and I have not been able to get a decent photo from it yet. The indoor photos are very grainy with a bubble sometimes in the photo. Outdoor photos are too light and also grainy, especially when the zoom is used. I have tried adjusting the image quality and the ISO setting but neither of these adjustments have improved the quality of the pictures. The printed pictures look worse than the images on the LCD screen. I c

Purple Pictures When in the camera mode my mvc-fd73 appears all purple, the pictures also turn out this way. I was outside taking pictures and noticed the screen color go nutz a couple of times. Came inside to take a few pictures and found the camera in this purple almost a solorized effect. The Screen looks fine in the play mode. I've tried a freshly charged battery and a fresh disk, but it made no difference.

When I try to take a picture, the LCD displays a lot of colorfull squiggly lines instead of the scene that I want to capture. When I turn it ON, the Zoom lens extends normally, then the colored lines appear with the following settings on the screen. Auto, 1M 178, ISO 400, ! plus a hand icon, AUTO, 4, F2.8. No matter which mode I choose, the same thing happens. Looking through the EVF shows the same thing. Note; I can view several good pictures that I took before the problem showed up. If I

This camera was working fine, was turned off, and then a day later wouldn't work. The LCD screen on back works only if the Mode Switch is in the review mode (or DOWN), and does not light up under the picture taking mode (or UP) position. Also, while the switch is in the UP position, the ON/OFF power indicator button no longer stays lit. It does, however, stay lit in the Mode Switch in the DOWN position. First problem in three years. Dark pictures I have a Canon EOS REbel T2 with the standard 28-90 lens. It had been working fine, but now my pictures are (almost all) coming out very dark and grainy. Further, I note that if I turn the camera 90 degrees to that a "portrait" picture -- 6" tall and 4" wide, I see a dark rectangle in the picture in the bottom right quadrant. I always set the camera to full program (the green rectangle). I have been using Fuji 400 speed file of late. Do you have any idea what I"m doing wrong?
