Having problems with your Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-F828 Digital Camera ?

After having the f828 in my luggage the lens and the body are not tight together anymore. when i hold the lens with my left hand the body joggles left an right? can i unscrew the camera and tighten a screw to fix this?

Answers :

I fixed that problem by tightening up screws but they were inside the lens turret swivel mechanism. This required some fairly major surgery to get to them and it was a bit intimidating. I carefully noted all the steps, took plenty of photos on the way using the Nikon macro, and consulted the service manual. The outcome was a fully restored and serviceable F828 which, despite its age is going on holiday with me again soon to the South Pacific. All the detail for the surgery is on http://howtheheckdididothat.blogspot.com/ I hope that helps you and the many others I know have had the same problem. Good luck - I hope you have it fixed after all this time. The F828 is still hard to beat in many respects.

Lens Problem Hello, I'm Kento from the states. I purchased the CASIO EX-Z700 series. However, I accidentally dropped the camera when the camera was on and the lens was extended. It makes a grating sound, and the monitor screen said "Lens error". Now, the camera is turned off with its lens extended. When I see the lens from the top, the lens position is more concentrated to the right, and the gaps between each lens is bigger on the left hand side of the lens. I sincerely hope this would help y

My Olympus FE-370 has a broken screen, my fault. I bought a replacement off ebay for really cheap and it seems like it would work fine, but I'm having trouble taking the camera apart..A few of the screws, three around the screw-in tripod holder in the base of the camera, two on the right hand side close to the lens, and one right under the USB port, refuse to come out! If someone could help me with just that part, I would probably be able to figure out the rest! Thank you!

Lens Error. Hi. I dropped my camera on the 30th of December last year, while taking pictures of Christmas lights. This happened, when I was being stupid, because I didn't put my wrist ********. Fixing yourself As long as you take it steady and have a box with compartments in for all the screws at different stages you should be all right. This model has the older style wires with different size plugs so you really can't go wrong. I think it is only the screen and possibly the keypad that have ribbon strips to worry about.
