Having problems with your Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H1 Digital Camera ?

Images taken by Sony DSC-W200 camera are only 72 DPI.

\015 Images taken by a Sony DSC-W200 camera are only 72 DPI. Is there a way to increase this?\015

Answers :

Pictures on a digital storage don't have any DPI. You get DPI when feeding the pictures into an output device, that is, you can put a ruler on it and measure it. Unfortunately JPG does have DPI tags. I don't know, what these tags try to tell us. With tag editors any value can be put into these tags without any visible effect. Non-displayed pictures are measured in Pixels (width x height).
Initialize camera by going to Menu settings, that will reset camera to default settings and problem will solve.

I own a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55 with a 4GB Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo. After taking several images, the camera started changing the viewing size of some images. These images look OK when I hook the camera up to my computer to view, but when I try and view them on the camera, they have shrunk to the size of a postage stamp! I have tried reformating the memory stick, but this did not seem to help. Also, I occasionaly loose images when I go back to view them - the screen goes blue with a file forma

Sony DSC-F717 I have a Sony DSC-F717 camera which has worked well(except for the incredibly slow record time in TIFF) until now. The camera stays dark as if the shutter is stuck. I can turn the camera on, see the readings(battery, memory space etc.), view images previously recorded on the memory stick ? but not see anything through the lens, either on LCD or through the Finder. Is something locked up or stuck and how do I unlock it?

DSC P51 Trying to decide whether my camera is suffering from the defective CCD imager problem. I currently have a black image at all times, as if the shutter is closed. I removed the MS and reset the camera which didn't affect anything. On the Sony site it says to take a movie clip with sound then replay it. When I did that, it didn't replay the image and I heard no sound either. Does hearing no sound still constitute a prob with the CCD imager?

My Sony Cybershot DSC V1 viewfinder screen very briefly shows the taken image and this then quickly fades to a foggy whiteout which sometimes shows the ghost of the image taken. The same image shows when the memory stick is downloaded. Same with all my memory sticks.
