Having problems with your Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H1 Digital Camera ?

My Sony H1 can no longer work with recargeable batteries so I had to use AA alkaline last year. Now this year it will only take 4 or 5 pics with new alkaline. So am using Lithium, it takes about40 pics then shows batteries dead. What is the problem with it needing stronger batteries as it gets older? Can that be fixed so I can again use rechargeable batteries?

Answers :

Have you tried a higher mAh rated rechargeable battery? This may solve your problem.
Thank you,
Get new rechargable batteries, they do wear out, and yes 40 pictures with lithium is about right and no the battery life has nothing to do with camera age unless u are leaving it on or using the zoom allot.

Batteries This camera has been the worst digital camera I have ever used.  The pic quality is fine.  The ease of use is fine.  The problem lies in the battery longevity.  Maybe that is not even the right description.  I will put in new batteries and only use my camera for a short time.  The next time I go to use the camera it is not at all uncommon for it to not turn on.  Even though it has new batteries and was not left on, the batteries are dead.  It happens with the rechargeable as well as re

So I took the family to Luray Caverns in Virginia last week, and took lots of pictures of my wife and kids in the caverns. As my six year old leaned over the "fried eggs" formation, my Canon A570is beeped. The screen showed the battery was running low, and then the dreaded "memory card error" came up. Are all my pics lost, or is there a way to recover them. I'm using rechargeable batteries, and have not checked the CR1220 internal battery. I'm also using a 4 year old class 2 - 2Gb SD card.

Don't worry, your lost photos that are very precious can be recovered with ease. I would like to introduce you a very good data Recovery software, called tenorshare data recovery which can be used to recover images from SD card and from other storage ... Canon PowerShot A570 IS Digital Camera

Battery Have had my Nikon for about 3 years, no problems till couple months ago. Used camera for vacation then did not use it for about a month. Battery was fully charged when put away. Got it out and battery was dead. Charged battery, put it in the camera and shows only 1/3 charged? Put it back on the charger, checked the connections, retried in camera, same thing. Ordered a new battery did the same thing, charged it, same thing. Put original back in and suddenly full charge and able to use my

I've had my camera for about 3 years now and have never had any problems until a couple of weeks ago. When I turned the camera on, it forced me to reset date/time and would occasionally show aperture 00 and not take a picture. Turning the camera off and then on again, or removing and replacing the battery temporarily took care of the problem. Now I am getting the ERR 01 and can not take pics at all, regardless of which lens I use or whether I am using the IS option. I've tried cleaning the c

Olympus FE170 digital camera shows battery compartment empty with batteries in place I have the same problem. When I place fully recharged batteries in the Olympus FE 170, the camera won't power on at all. When I first did this, it would power on once and then when I went to take a picture it said the battery was too low. If I put new disposable batteries in camera it works. Canon PowerShot A495 - Brand new. Used it once and took 40 photos. It then told me to change the batteries which I did. From then on it keeps saying "change the batteries" I've used alkalines and also rechargeable NiMH, These are either new or fully recharged batteries and still I get the same message. I have also cleaned the terminals inside the camera and even those on the batteries themselves. No change. This is clearly not a battery problem. This is a camera problem and its seems I am not th

Battery life When I first had this camera, about 3 years ago, the rechargeable batteries I bought seemed to last for ages. But more recently the "low battery warning" has been coming on very shortly after inserting freshly charged batteries. I have tried using ordinary batteries (high powered) but even with these I can only take a few pictures before the warning light comes on. Once the light is on, the camera goes dead after a few more pictures so it's not giving me a false "low battery" warnin

Pictures missing some (not all) of pictures taken end up missing from the camera ; they can't be viewed on the camera or loaded into my pc. I know the pics were there but missing later. this has happened with two separate memory cards so I know it's not a card problem. I've had the camersa a few years and this is the first problem. One of the memory cards intermittantly comes up with a "memory card error" message but not the card that was exclusively in use when the problem first showed itself.

If you haven't done so yet, take one of the cards, reformat it correctly (please ask again if you need info on how to do this) and see if you get any change.\015\012\015\012Are you using a PC card reader to transfer the photos or a USB cable?\015\012 ... Canon PowerShot S1 IS Digital Camera

Hi. Original battery is less than a year old. Put on charger, after battery was totally dead, and charger light went to green in only 15 mins. This was after no use for a couple of months. Cleaned contacts on battery and charger, and light turned orange. Could there be a problem with charger?

There is most likely a problem with the battery. If the charge/recharge cycle very quickly, some of the battery cells are probably damaged. Look for a replacement battery and that should fix it. ... Digital Cameras
