Then don't do that :-)

Seriously, there's always going to be some delay while the circuitry does its thing to record an image. One of the features of a higher-end (more expensive) camera is the speed with which they can take subsequent pictures.

It happens with film too, though there it's a matter of moving the exposed frame out of the way and bringing in a new frame.

PICTURE TAKING Wonder if anyone can help me? Whenever I try to take a picture on my C-350 Zoom there is a long delay, of about 3 seconds, between me pressing the button and the flash operating to take the picture. This means I can never take any action shots and am even struggling to take family snapshots. I've checked this against other cameras and they only seem to take 1 to 1.5 seconds. I've looked through the operating manual and can't seem to find any solution. Any help would be greatly

Flash problem So, I set the camera to 'Flash On'. I take a picture and the flash goes off for about a quick second. I look at the picture and it's nothing but a black background, sometimes white where I can only slightly see the object I took the picture of. What's wrong with my camera? This only happens sometimes, by the way. Sometimes I take a picture and everything's normal.

My Canon SD950 IS camera will take about 30 seconds to take a flash picture. You have to hold down the shutter button for a long time. The flash indicator flashes on the display for quite a while and then the picture is finally taken. This seems to have happened after the battery was run down to nothing. After that, this flash problem appeared. I have got another battery but this still happens. I have reset to default settings as well . Still has problem. What is wrong?

LCD/Recording Picture When I take a picture, the camera will only record about 1/4 of the picture on the LCD screen, then rest of the image is black. Canon Powershot A610 digital camera--LCD screen shows icons, but otherwise is blank--there is no visible movement in the lens when I take a picture without flash--have tried setting it on TV setting and taking a picture, then opening the battery cover for a few seconds after waiting 7 seconds or so, but no images on the LCD except the camera's icons--ideas? probably a stuck shutter, or is it still possibly the CCD sensor even though there's no visible movement in the lens? Ideas? Thanks!

Much more likely that it's a stuck shutter, especially for your model camera. How many tries did you give the fix? Some people stated that it took at least 15 repeated tries before the shutter opened:\015\012\015\012\015\012 ... Canon PowerShot A610 Digital Camera

AF problem Last week I took some pics that needed the flash turned off. I did that and took the pics with no problem. I turned the flash setting back to "auto" afterwards. It would take one picture and then would be frozen (no zoom, no picture taking, but the screen would stay on). If I turn it back on I can then ta

System Error I downloaded the pictures onto a CD from my Konica Minolta today like I always do. When I was finished I went onto the camera to delete the pictures and format the card - like I always do. (I have had this camera for right at 1 year) When I turn the switch to the "view" mode it comes up with "system error" within about 2 seconds and the whole camera turns off. If I go really fast I can delete one picture at a time. I can still take pictures and they still show up (for 2 seconds).

Same thing happend to my father's camera (memory card). Seems that deleting the pictures from the card via the computer solves the problem. Corrupt files on the card cause the camera to read system error. No corrupt files = working camera! :) ... Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z5 Digital Camera
