Split images Occasionally when I transfer photos taken with my Canon 40D to my computer they are broken in half or thirds and the images switched (the middle appears on the right side of the photo, the left appears in the middle, the bottom appears in the middle, etc.). When viewed on the camera they appear fine. This doesn't happen with all images, typically only one or two per 50. It doesn't seem to matter which program I use the transfer the images (Microsoft XP camera wizard vs. Canon sof

I have a Nikon D70 and i am a photographer I shot a customers photos today. I shot the first half of the photos on this compact flash card and downloaded to my computer and then put it back in the camera and formatted the card. When I put the card back in I shot the rest of the photos using the same card. The last 2 photos I shot said that there was no image file and that I needed to change the card. I went to download the files to the computer but its telling me that the card needs to be format

I just purchased the Tamron 18-270 lens. When I take photos with the flash on, I get like a dark half-circle shadow either at the bottom or to the side of the photos. What could be causing this?
Lens is to long for the internal flash. Try an external one, it's position is more away from the center of the camera. Normally this should'nt happen, may be that the internal reflector of your flash is disorted.\012Try to get a cheap 430 EX, mor ... Cannon EOS 50D Digital Camera
When I take photos the image is either too dark on top half or blown out on bottom half... is this a shutter problem? Does this regardless of what lens I use...

When I take a photo with my Nikon D90 in auto mode and flash i get a dark spot on the bottom of the image on the lcd that resembles a shadow. there is no shadow in the picture. What is casuing this?
This is more than likely a shadow from your lens. The on-camera flash is in a fairly low position, and I am able to duplicate your description when using my D200 on-camera flash and a physically longer lens- in my case a 28-70 F2.8 lens. Using a hot- ... Digital Cameras

Last night was taking photos indoors with flash on auto setting. All appeared fine except thre was a vertical line on the viewfinder, not quite half way across. After about 4 flash photos, the flash turned itself off and it wouldn't allow me to adjust the settings back to flash again. I checked the setting and it was still on auto and there was plenty of battery left. Tried a couple of shots and they took, but no flash, so useless. Turned camera off for half an hour then tried again and it was f

My panasonic has amazing imaging stabilising properties, and crystal clear images. But the flash is too bright, and washes everything out far too much, making faces and scenery white all the time. The colours arent natural more than often. They're just wishy washy. So I bought a sony, and the colours are much more natural, and flash much more reasonable, but the image quality is really not great at all, especially in low light conditions, and the image stabilising is almost useless!!!! "unidentified image" About half the time when I take a picture it will take fine and show up and then when I go to look at it after it will say unidentified image. I thought it was the memory card bought a new one and synced it and it still does this about half the time.

A friend dropped my camera on the weekend (a CASIO EXILIM EX-Z70) and the lens is definitely broken (it says LENS ERROR) and takes half photos (half black half normal image). The camera is still able to view images I had taken previously. Just wondering how much this type of repair costs, so I can look around and not get ripped off! Thanks

I have a Kodak Easyshare model dx5430 digital camera (5mp). It has worked like a champ for years. Last night I was at an event when the image display went dark at picture 31. All preceding photos were able to be reviewed. The camera flash works fine. The camera displays all the other characteristics of a working unit. It turns on and off; the flash works, the menu is accessible - everything. It just doesn't register any photos. Even in close-up mode, there is nothing. It's as if the lens cap is

Grainy, image I bought my Riccoh Caplio GX 5.1 mp three years ago. At first it took the best pictures I could wish for, but for monyhs now I am getting very variable results. Some photos are OK, but many are grainy, "pixleated" - having tiny spots of the primary colours throughout the image. There doesn't seem to be any one situation when this happens. It can be inside, outside, flash or none. The pictures also seem to be a lot darker, so photos taken inside or at night are much poorer quality,

Accidentally I dropped my Sony DSC S500 camera. Now the shutter is jammed. When i switch on, the lens ejects out and stops half way. While switching off, the lens doesn't come back to normal position, instead it stops in half way ejected position. From the LED display i could see a blurred image. I am able to see all the photos that i have taken so far, but am not able to take any new photos.
