Sony cybershot soaked, turn power on and off again message

\015 My sony cybershot DSC-W50 got soaked in beer for a fair amount of time and I took it all apart and let it dry out for a long time. Now I can turn it on and look at the pictures on my mempry, but when I try to take pictures it beeps and has an error message to turn power on and off again. I've read that for some sonys this can be because there is something stuck in the lens, but I was just wondering if it could have something to do with the beer? Because all the buttons stick from it as does the lens cover. any suggestions?\015

I have a SONY Cybershot DSC W150. When I turn it on the lens goes kut and comes back in several times, then I get the error message "Turn the Power Off and On Again", but doing that does not change anything. This is one of four digicams I own (also a Nikon D90, SONY DSC F717, and a Canon) and I like the W150 for some purposes because it is compact and has a viewfinder, not just a screen. I have been unable to find a similar camera. What can I do to fix the problem? Gerry Meisels [email protected]
