Having problems with your Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P1 Digital Camera ?

Indoor Photography I have a Sony DSC-P1 3.2 Mega Pixels camera. I've owned it for 3 years now and have been happy with it. However, one thing that I've noticed is that sometimes when I take pictures indoors with limited light, the quality of the picture isn't very good (it's sort of fuzzy). When the lighting is better (such as outdoors), the quality is outstanding (crisp and clear) and produces beautiful pictures. This issue regarding taking pics indoors or in lower light - is this a camera qual

What's probably happening is this: Since the light is low, the shutter must remain open for a relatively long time. If you're hand-holding the camera, you'll get blurry shots. Using a tripod will eliminate this. It doesn't typically happen outdoors because there's usually enough light to permit very fast shutter speeds (>60th of a second or so). Some newer cameras offer image-stablization for those lower-light situations. The camera or lens makes very quick adjustments to compensate for your moving when taking a shot. Hope this helps! I have a samsung digimax S600 camera. From not too long back i have been having problems with the image quality of pictures clicked in broad day light in the outdoor. There is no problem, however, indoors whatever the light condition. Also, if i shoot a video using the camera, even on the outdoors, i get satisfactory results (not any different from earlier). What could be the problem? Thanks.

Grainy Pictures I received this camera as a Christmas gift, this past Christmas, and I have not been able to get a decent photo from it yet. The indoor photos are very grainy with a bubble sometimes in the photo. Outdoor photos are too light and also grainy, especially when the zoom is used. I have tried adjusting the image quality and the ISO setting but neither of these adjustments have improved the quality of the pictures. The printed pictures look worse than the images on the LCD screen. I c

Blue Hue I have 2 A345 cameras. One is continually taking pictures with a very blue hue to them, useless as a photo, whilst the other camera with same settings takes great pictures. This happens whether indoors or outdoors in a good light. The camera has been back under warranty with no fault found. If I have pictures like this, how can it be no fault found. What are the optimal settings for my digital camera? I have a brand new Canon PowerShot 12.1-Megapixel Digital ELPH camera, but I've been really disappointed in the quality of pictures it takes. For example, sometimes there are these smallish blurred white circles on the pictures. Can you recommend optimal settings that I should be using? I use my camera indoors and occasionally outdoors, so whatever settings best cover all different conditions would be ideal.

Small white circles usually means dust on the lens.  Remove the dust with a blowerbrush - not a tissue.\012You are asking for a "1 size fits all" solution for your settings, and indoor and outdoor use really means different settings.   ... Extreme overexposure Outdoor photos are mostly blank - white. Indoor photos are okay if there is very little light and I have it set on the "snow" setting. If there is light from a window then the indoor photos are over exposed as well, often with horizontal lines and/or blurry pictures. It seems that the shutter is open too long, but I don't know why. I bought a used canon xs from craigslist. I think a hard lesson learned already. Anyway the camera appears to be in great condition. The problem is whenever I take a picture it does not come out right. The colors are way off. Some colors look fine, blue will come out beige, gray or green. This is with the flash indoors or outdoors with just normal light and the camera on full auto. I called canon and they said it sounds like the sensor is going bad. I've got a Fujifilm F30. Since yesterday, its not working properly. When I take photos, it 'absorbs' too much light and indoor photos becomes really bright and outdoor photos becomes nearly white from brightness. And when I transfer the pictures to computer, it has minor lines accross the picture. The video mode seems to be unaffected. What is the problem and is it worth fixing ? Would like to fix it if I can as F30 is still considered one of the best compact camera Fuji has ever made ! Thanks.

This is to inform that I am having Casio Digital Camera Exilim EX-Z500 for last few years. The same was giving very good pictures, but last week, it suddenly started malfunctioning. Whenever, we took indoor pictures, they were coming out well as per attached pictures (CIM2831 & CIM2826) but when the camera was taken outside in the day light, though the picture was very clear on the LCD screen but after clicking, the picture is overshadowed with white light (as per other attached pictures).

Some things to try:\0121. Go into the menu and find "reset" to return to factory default settings.\0122. Check the ISO setting....you may have it set too high for outdoor pictures.\0123. Check the "exposure compensation"...it should be at "0". ... Casio Exilim EX-S500 Digital Camera

Hi. I have had a Samsung S1050 camera for just under 3 years, and have had satisfaction in using the camera and with the picture quality for most of that time, however just within the last few weeks, the quality of photographs taken has gone rapidly downhill, with white-out when using the flash and poor light levels, and when zooming in on any picture that has recently been taken, there are noticeable horizontal lines across it through the entire photo, much like an old 70's tv. Hi--I have a panasonic lumix DMC-FP8, which I bought in May 2010. The camera is great for outdoor landscapes, etc. but I've had problems with low lighting and red eye. The camera has trouble focusing on the subjects, and there are often white spots all over the picture (even though I've cleaned the lens and checked to see if there were scratches or dirt on it). In addition to this, I have the red eye setting on, but I still get really awful red eye in all of my pictures. The camera is still new
