Having problems with your Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P200 Digital Camera ?

I have a Sony DSC-P200 since March 2006. It has been a great camera - until yesterday. Most of the pictures are out of focus, almost like double exposure. What is so confusing is one picture will be ok, the next really bad? Any ideas?

Focus There is one problem that I have with this camera - Auto Focus in low lighting and it has really limited manual focus. Outdoors this camera is outstanding, I haven't found any pitfalls outdoors yet. 10x optical zoom plus 2.5" LCD WOW. Although the LCD is littly choppy, but I don't care about that, pictures turn out really gooood. Anyways back to Auto Focus problem. Do any of you have the same problem? My camera is in great condition and I'd hate to spend the money to get it fixed. It seems like everything else is working except for the lens...which is a big one! It never reads "ERROR" its just that the lens will not focus. It makes a noise when it is turned on like it is trying to focus. Even when I slightly hold the shutter button it makes a strange noise trying to focus but cannot. Any ideas of what I could do? Where can I get hold of a replacement battery door for a Fuju Finepix S5700? I've trolled the web and can't find anyone with one for sale. The lugs on the battery door have snapped and won't hold the batteries in anymore. I've got tape on it at the moment which keeps stretching after a while. I don't really wan't to use a bodge job like tape or rubber bands - I'd really like to get hold of a spare part that I can fit myself. Any ideas?

My Nikon CoolPix 5700 seems confused about OFF and ON, and now I can't take a photo becase it won't stay ON long enough for me to press the shutter release. The problem appears a bit like a low-battery issue, but I have been placing totally recharged batteries (as fas as I can tell) in it (two different ones) over and over, and still the camera turns on and off at will. Any ideas? Is there a way to totally reboot the camera, like one reboots hard drives? Thank you.

Focusing Problems I just bought the Canon 20d. I shot a wedding with it two weeks ago, and really liked how it performed in low light. However, I noticed a lot of my photos from the low lit reception came back out of focus. (The outdoor ceremony shots were fine). I noticed 3 issues with the images: 1-The main subject, which often was dead center and took up 1/2 to 2/3 of the frame, was often NOT in focus. Rather, the camera selected some point way off to one side or off in the distance som

Double Images. Under natural light, low light, basically any light... the images will show the correct photo and then a moment later another photo will superimpose itself on the first image. Only one photo. One .jpg when transferring to the computer and I can't get the photo to separate. Some are really great photos... if not for that extra photo on top of it. My problem sounds like the same as the other poster.

The wide-telephoto lever and the shutter are sticking. this just started after a cruise in the Caribbean where on one occasion the lens and view finder fogged up when I passed through a pool area on the ship. the other problem I'm having is getting it to focus on the correct subject like closeup of flowers which it wouldn't do. I bought this camera new several years ago and really love it.

Could be some moisture causing the sticking. You could bury the camera in rice for a couple of days to absorb the moisture. As far as focusing on a correct subject in a close-up, you should set your auto focus on spot focussing. Then, only a tiny por ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1 Digital Camera

Zooming FE-280 camera - Worked great for about 2 weeks. While on vacation developed a problem - when you turn the camera on the lens goes in and out like it is trying to focus. Once it is through with the lens action when you try to set up for a picture (any mode) and focus on the subject the camera will not focus and then shuts down. Acts like the battery is dead but camera shows fully charged battery. Any ideas?

T7 video A colleague of mine is interested in a new digicam. He likes to take short video sequences and was wondering if the T7 features proper optical zoom with continuous auto-focus, auto-exposure while videoing? I know the first generations of digicams only allowed digital zoom and wouldn't change focus from the point at which one started filming. Also, any general experiences of video on the T7 - how long can one film etc?

Autofocus problem I dont really know how to explain my problem.. I got a Nikon D40 for Christmas last year and last week we went on vacation. Back focus My D300 looked like it was focusing behind the subject. I set up 8 objects on the lawn, each one 3 feet behind the other. I mounted my camera on a tripod, selected a shallow depth of field, and shot each object. I found that at close range, my camera focused fine. The farther away the object, the more the camera focused behind the object. I returned the camera to Nikon for repair under warrantee. They made some adjustments. The focus has definitely improved, but I don't think it is qu

Hi i just bought a canon eos rebel from someone online and it has a 28-80 lens. I try to use it and i noticed the focus is very loose, is that normal? I dont know alot about cameras but i have used manual cameras before and i have never used one with such a loose focus. And also would i lose slight focus if its like that when i go and take a picture?

Your camera is primarily an autofocus model: manual focussing is very much a secondary feature and is always very free moving. If it were any other way then it would cause the AF motor to work much harder and dramatically shorten the battery life. ... Canon EOS Rebel 2000 with 28-80 lens 35mm Film Camera

System Error I downloaded the pictures onto a CD from my Konica Minolta today like I always do. When I was finished I went onto the camera to delete the pictures and format the card - like I always do. (I have had this camera for right at 1 year) When I turn the switch to the "view" mode it comes up with "system error" within about 2 seconds and the whole camera turns off. If I go really fast I can delete one picture at a time. I can still take pictures and they still show up (for 2 seconds).
