Having problems with your Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P73 Digital Camera ?

Won't power on with Rechargeables, only standard batteries.

\015 This happened the other night: my camera sort of froze up, and after resetting, would not power on again. I tried several sets of fresh batteries (all rechargeables that I have used in the camera before), and nothing. A pair of alkaline batteries, however, and all was fine. So the camera works, but has become rather environmentally (and financially) unfriendly. Any thoughts?\015

I have a Canon PC 1309 Digital Camera, which seems to have no power. I tried new batteries - nothing. Inside the camera is a little rechargeable battery - MS614SE. This battery is rated at 3.1v, but it is comatose - just nudges the needle on the voltmeter. My question is: is the rechargeable battery bad, needs to be replaced, or is it something else - the battery is good but is simply not being recharged? Can these batteries be recharged in a Radio Shack recharger?

When I turn the power on, it beeps and says "turn the power off and on again" plus it shows a battery in the upper lefthand corner. When I turn it off and on, I get the same message. I can view stored pictures but can't take pictures. I have charged the batteries and it makes no difference. Since I have been using and recharging the same batteries since I got the camera, could it just be that I need new rechargeable batteries? I bought the camera in 2004 and love it. Is there any hope for this c

When I place fully recharged batteries in the Olympus FE 170, the camera won't power on at all. Battery problem This morning I turned on my brand new Nikon Coolpix 5400 and got nothing on the screen. pushed some buttons and still nothing. Went to turn it off and it won't. The lens stays extended and the power light is still on. I don't know if maybe the batteries are so low they can't do anything, but I was under the impression that the camera had an indicator for the batteries really needing to be recharged. The low battery light was on last night, but I haven't seen need to be recharged

Some of these cameras go from "low" to "no" very quickly. The electronics are more sensitive to available voltage than the mechanicals and it doesn't take full voltage to keep an led lit or to retract the lens. But the cpu shuts down. I would have ex ... Nikon Coolpix 5400 Digital Camera

Hi , My Fuji S9600 has just refused to power-up using batteries, although it still powers-up and operates correctly when i attach the mains PSU adapter. I wonder if this is a common occurrence on this model and how easy it is to get sorted. I have used rechargeable batteries since the camera was new (approx 3 yrs) and have tested the batteries as V.good. So i'm assuming that the problem is with the camera somewhere. Do you think if i reset the camera in the menu that would cure the problem , or

My Sigma SD9 rapidly drains battery power; and I don't mean over a short period of time, but over a few minutes. Regardless of new or fresh rechargeable batteries, the drainage is frustratingly consistent.
