I have a Canon 1000d and it appears to take great pictures when viewed on the lcd screen or computer but when I get photos developed they appear to be a bit dark. The pictures are taken in auto mode. I have read somewhere that the factory settings need adjusting and it needs to be sent back. It is no longer under warranty. Has anyone else had this problem?

Reset the menus to factory setting or default settings. You can also try this: remove the battery and let it sit for at least 24 hours. This should reset all setting to default. Also you can adjust the settings in the menus to darken the pictures slig ... I have had a nikon D60 for the last 3 years.I normally use the auto setting and for the first 2 years it took beautiful photos almost every time. in the last year or so when i try to take a photo it often displays iso auto r 09 in the bottom right hand corner and won't take the photo and this doesn't appear to depend on lighting. Is there something i can do differently? Should i take the camera for a service? Thanks

The flash has been working fine until last night when I tried to take a picture and the flash was set to auto. When I press the button the little red light beside the flash sign lights up, but the camera does not take the photo. When I set it to flash mode, it still won't take a photo. When I turn off the flash, then it does. What could be the problem? Is it in the settings?

Last night was taking photos indoors with flash on auto setting. All appeared fine except thre was a vertical line on the viewfinder, not quite half way across. After about 4 flash photos, the flash turned itself off and it wouldn't allow me to adjust the settings back to flash again. I checked the setting and it was still on auto and there was plenty of battery left. Tried a couple of shots and they took, but no flash, so useless. Turned camera off for half an hour then tried again and it was f

All my pictures have suddenly become over exposed. I have taken thousands of photos with this camera - mostly on auto setting - with no problem. I have checked my settings and they are all still on auto. Last Saturday night I was taking a lot of photos with flash and my camera got very hot. This may be something that happens naturally but not happened to me before. But I have taken over 100 photos since then without sny problem at all.

Canon SD600 I used my camera to take pictures of fireworks and I noticed that afterwards, all the photos I was taking outside in daylight were turning white. If I take pictures in the dark, they turn out perfect, and low light pictures are fairly normal except anywhere where there is a light source (lamp, window, etc) the color is streaky and orange. This particular camera has no way to adjust the aperture settings and I am considering taking it to a shop to have it looked at. Is there anything

It sounds like you may be in a low light mode. Put the camera in record mode, and then press the set button (in the middle of the up down left right keys). You probably want the camera to be in automatic mode (or A). If this doesn't solve the prob ... Canon PowerShot SD600 Digital Camera

My pictures have a yellow cast to them and they are not very sharp. When I take pictures outside, my photos are invariably washed out. I find myself manually adjusting light balance before I print (either darkening if I take picture outside or lightening if I take the picture inside). I almost always use Auto mode. I have found nothing that corrects the nasty yellow cast.

Dim Photos My G3 has begun to take very dim photos, all iso speeds are affected plus Auto mode. It can barely focus, even with the assist light on. If it was the light meter (setting too high an aperture?) it would probably be able to focus, right. When I take a picture it always sets f2.0 1/60 sec, even at iso400. Is it the image sensor?

Put the camera in to the full auto mode. If the pictures are still dark, it is possible that the apature inside of the lens is not working. There is a micro-motor, gear assembly, iris leaf assembly, and a servo amp circuit that drives the apature. Th ... Canon PowerShot G3 Digital Camera

I have been having problems getting sharp pictures. Especially indoors. I have the cool pix 6000 and reset all my settings to the factory settings. My pictures indoors seem almost "filtered"...not sharp at all. I took some pics outside and they are great. Shouldn't the auto setting adjust to take great pics inside and out?? My Fuji s2000 always shoots picture that are blured. I have tried many settings and different exposures however I keep getting the same result. What can I do ? The worst mode on this camera is the auto mode, I can never get a clear indoor picture. This camera takes beautiful pictures of flowers/nature and all outdoor photo's turn out beautiful it is the indoor photo's I have even tried the sports mode for when people move but I still get a very blured image

I have a Nikon CoolPix 4300 that is about 5 years old. I mostly use it in the Macro mode for close-up photos of the sewing thimbles I sell on eBay. Now when I take a photo under any setting (auto P M etc) with my old faithful Cannon Powershot A70 it just gives me a white picture. I was at a basketball game last night and taking pictures with the d80 and the 55-200 lens. All of the pictures I took in auto focus were blurry. I changed it to the S mode with shutter speed at 4000 and those pictures came out completely dark with nothing in the picture. I changed the setting to the sports mode and the shutter speed is not fast enough because I have the same issue with blurring or out of focus.

Why does the FinePix E510 pictures download from the camera at 72 dpi when the camera was set to take 500 megapixel photos? I cannot find any way to adjust this in the finepix manual or in online help. I was helping someone download pics from his new camera and tried both Adobe Photoshop album starter and the finepix software. But when i open a photo in Photoshop, it says the photo size is 72 DPI. (My nikon doesn't do this when downloaded.)

A couple of things - I don't think you mean 500 megapixels (that is a lot!) but I assume you mean you expected a high resolution image. You may have it! The dpi setting is largely irrelevant (for photographers) as it simply relates number of pixels ... Fuji Finepix S5800 Digital Camera

The focal length on my Nikon S52 Coolpix seems to be much shorter than it was originally. No matter the adjustment I make to the settings, at least part of the photo is extremely blurry. I have tried both with Auto-Focus on and off, but there is always a small square in the center of the view finder, and this is only region that shows a focused image.
