Horitonzal lines We sent the camera back to canon thinking it had the ccd problem and it would be under warranty for that. They said the repair bill would be $100 and that it wasn't the ccd problem, but they wouldn't tell us what the repair would be for, so we had them send it back to us, unrepaired. Do you have any insight? From all that I read, we do have a ccd issue, but I'm not an expert.

Our camera when you turn it on has a blank screen and you cannot take pictures. You can review pictures and see the different menu modes, but the screen is otherwise black. We have had it repaired once for almost $200 by a Canon repair centre with the exact same problem about 18 months ago. They said it was a shutter issue?? It sounds like it could be a CCD issue? I have written Canon customer service over 2 months ago, suggesting a defect, to which I have received no reply.

Recently, my Canon Powershot A95 has had an intermittent LCD display problem. While beginning to frame and focus a shot, the image streaks from edge to edge of the screen. If the shutter is snapped, that is the image recorded. The image looks like the subject is rapidly moving, or as though it is a time-lapse photo. Could this be a CCD (chip)issue?

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free worldwide, and may also include free shipping both ways (free shipping varies with countries). This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. ... Canon PowerShot A95 Digital Camera

Ist issue: how do you get the battery out? I have been using a nail file to pry it out. 2nd issue: the charger blinks green and orange whether battery is inserted or not. Battery does not seem to charge. 3rd issue: I have camera plugged in by USB. The green power light comes on but that's it. The LCD screen doesn't light up, no other buttons seem to work. Where does my issue lie? Is it the battery, the charger or the camera?

1st- you shouldn't have to do this. Stop filing your nails and you will be able to pry the battery out with a fingernail.2cnd- I can't decide whether this is a bad battery or a fault with the charger. Either way, the battery won't charge, ... Polaroid T737 Digital Camera

Hi guys... I'm having the same issue with my Sony DSC-T33 as has been described here by many other people. I've done the Reset, and the Power Reset, online with the Sony Tech people. They say now it's a hardware issue and I'll have to send it in.......... NO MENTION of this known issue with the component part. So I bring it up and am told that is not in their database, so they don't know about it. What? I'm given a phone number for the "Customer Relations Team". Now in my online research

Sorry to say that Sony stopped repairing the faulty CCD's that were installed in their cameras for free two years ago. No matter what they told you, they DO know about it, as it is a well known issue (Sony actually produced the faulty CCD's that wer ... Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T33 Digital Camera

CCD Problem My HP Photosmart 945 camera's CCD broke down, and I'm told that there's no way to repair it, because HP does not sell the part. What could I do?. Is it possible to install another make's CCD or any solution that might help. Please, do not refer me to HP customer support service, because it sucks! They only offer a "refurbished camera" and only God knows what that could be!. Thanks in advance. P.S.: I know the camera is old (even though to me three years is not that much), but it work

I have a Nikon D300. I can't seem to figure out what's wrong, I assume it's a setting issue. In low light situations even with the flash I can't seem to stop action or even properly light things. I have had any kind of issue like this on a camera before. In situations where I should be able to handhold I am using a monopod. I know there is enough light to not have to handhold, I mean I am using the flash. Frankly even with available light this should not be an issue.
