I am a freelance writer. I have a Canon PowerShot A1000IS that I use to take photos to go along with articles I write for the local paper. Recently almost all the pictures I take are blurry on the top 1/3 of the photo. It hasn't always been this way and it doesn't happen all the time so it makes me think that possibly I have somehow gotten some of the settings off. The bottom 1/3 is sometimes a little blurry too but not as much as the top. Can anyone tell me what would cause this and what I can

Blurry photos I love my A80. I know it's best to use a tripod to avoid camera shake but I can't always use a tripod when taking photos of my active toddler. I like to do close ups of her face and her playing but pics of her are blurry and this is a disappointment. What setting do you recommend?
Automatic "Portrait" mode would work best for what you describe. It's the setting showing the profile of a woman on your mode dial. Try it both with and without flash (press the "lightning bolt" button on the back of your camera). ... Canon PowerShot A80 Digital Camera

Blurry photos THe last few times I have attempted to use my camera I have had two problems. One, each time I turn it on it resets itself as if I have never used it and goes back to the language selection and and I have to reset the date (which I stopped doing because of the inconvenience every time I wanted to take a photo, so now all my photos say January 1, 2000). Also, every time I go to take a photo, the picture is blurry. I have tried to reset the quality, but it's not helping and, admitted

I have a Nikon CoolPix 4300 that is about 5 years old. I mostly use it in the Macro mode for close-up photos of the sewing thimbles I sell on eBay. The last two times I've used the camera, I can take only a few pictures (2 or 3) before the camera shuts itself off. It will come back on by itself, after a while, but I have to totally reset it to take only a few pictures, then it shuts off again. I have set the auto shut off to 30 minutes, but that didn't help. Wavy lines I have a first year digital rebel using the 18-55mm lense that came with it. Whenever I shoot a photo of a home, the siding and the roof lines are wavy. Also when taking interior photos, using the pop up flast, my pictures seem to turn out a little dark.

My Olympus SP-560UZ USED TO take good pics, and when I look at older pics taken on the rear LCD screen, THEY look fine. However, when I look at real time images on LCD screen and/or take new pics, everything appears "smeared". When I look at new photos taken on LCD screen, or even transferred to computer, it's even WORSE...just one blurry mass of swirling colours. The camera hadn't been used in a month, and just sat in a closet for that time, so WHAT could have happened to it?

Close-up picture Hi! I purchased my camera to take up close-up pictures of handmade greeting cards. The cards are 4" x 5 1/2" with lots of little details. I'd like to show as much detail as possble. White out Every photo I take seems to white out, as if it is letting in to much light. But it is more than this, as it is possible to see white streaking on the image as well.
