Having problems with your Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T300 Digital Camera ?
The camera vibrates when it is powered on and fails to focus the object properly.
I have a Sony T200 and a T300. Both vibrate after about a year of use. The T200 was sent for repairs whilst under warranty but the fault recurred a few weeks later.
Sounds like lense gears are going bad, when you turn camera on the lense extends, if it does not extend fully probably will not auto focus, call sony for address for estimate of repairs.

Back focus My D300 looked like it was focusing behind the subject. I set up 8 objects on the lawn, each one 3 feet behind the other. I mounted my camera on a tripod, selected a shallow depth of field, and shot each object. I found that at close range, my camera focused fine. The farther away the object, the more the camera focused behind the object. I returned the camera to Nikon for repair under warrantee. They made some adjustments. The focus has definitely improved, but I don't think it is qu

Lens error. On power up, lens moves forward and backward but does not focus properly, and then camera gives the display 'Lens error'. Appears to be an electronic autofocus problem, rather than lens motor jamming due to grit etc. No unusual noise, anyway, from motors.

Olympus SP-550 UZ won't focus properly most of the time. Focus point should be infinity since my subjects are seascapes, sunsets and clouds. Camera takes photos without actually "focusing" on the object. Seems their is no "prefocus" with the button. As soon as you touch the focus button, the camera automatically takes the photo. I have a Nikon D40X camera with two lenses - one is 18-55 and the other is 55-200. Unfortunately, when I was at a wedding rehearsal, my 55-200 lens dropped off the pew on to the ground. It was not on the camera at the time and it has not worked properly ever since. My camera works properly with the 18-55 lens. Is there anything that can be done to fix it? Essentially, the camera can still focus, in and out, but when I try and push the button down, to take a picture, it just continues to refocus

My Sony DSC-T200 also vibrates periodically. I've never dropped it, and 90% of the time, its functioning just fine, but once in a while (usually for the duration of a whole event that I'd like to take pictures at), it vibrates very much like a cell phone with ringer set on vibrate. It seems to be the autofocus lense since the focus of the picture is also oscillating with the vibration. Is there a tooth on a gear broken or something? Is this camera prone to this? My camera (a Canon PowerShot SX10IS, if it matters) has this tendency to move in and out of focus when I'm using the video recording feature. For example, I can start the video by filming a stationary object (let's say, a person speaking at a podium a meter or so away) and the video will be in focus. However, even though the person in the video isn't moving except for subtle hand gestures, the camera seems to start to try to focus on something else deeper in the background or closer in the foreg

Lens Problem I have a C-8080 and I like it but I'm not sure if it is working 100%. The lens barrel is sloppy from side to side and clunks slightly when moving it quickly. It has been that way since it was new. It has some issues with auto focus as well. It has a hard time focusing on clouds and soft objects at infinity. I called Olympus when I bought the camera and mentioned the sloppy lens barrel and they told me that that is the way there made. It is slow to focus when going from close objects
