Having problems with your Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T5 Digital Camera ?

Some of my pictures have a spot on them. like a "water" spot. i thought i was on the lens but two or three pics will be ok then one will spot. any clue?

Answers :

The clue was that not all of your pictures had this spot or two. What I expect from what your wrote is that these spots are what is called lens flair. It's caused by a strong point of light entering the lens at an angle. Such points of light are common in landscapes on a bright sunny day, reflection off water or some other shiny surface. If the camera was used at night the "spots" could be coming from a street light. Most of the time it's the sun, the only way to stop this is first to be aware that it could happen when the camera is pointed to an gale of the sun. What you do for a point and shoot is hold your one hand over and above the lens sort of like the peak on a cap. Make sure your hand is high enough to be out of the camera field of view but still offer some shade to the lens. I do this but normally with the camera mounted to a tripod and i use my hat.

My Olympus FE-370 has a broken screen, my fault. I bought a replacement off ebay for really cheap and it seems like it would work fine, but I'm having trouble taking the camera apart..A few of the screws, three around the screw-in tripod holder in the base of the camera, two on the right hand side close to the lens, and one right under the USB port, refuse to come out! If someone could help me with just that part, I would probably be able to figure out the rest! Thank you!

I have a panasonic lumix dmc-fz18, it has developed what look like three dust spots on the sensor, its just over two years old, shouldnt this camera be sealed against dust? If the above is comfirmed then I assume the dust was in the camera from new, trouble is no one from panasonic wants to answer my e-mails!

It's impossible to seal against the inevitable dust. The best we can do is protect our cameras as much as possible. If you want to be able to clean a sensor, you need to step up to a DSLR camera. Maybe you're ready...I know you will be very happy wit ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 Digital Camera

I have spots on my pics. My camera is still new. I've been extremely careful to not get anything on the lens. Don't see anything visible on the lens, and have also tried cleaning it (very carefully with special lens cleaner). Still, there are spots -- the same place on every pic. Is there anything that I can do? It it possible it's something internal?

Ok those "Spots" are dead "Pixels" in the CCD Element that take or sees the image. What has happened is that certain "Elements" in the CCD have gone faulty, this means that they do NOT react at all, to the light, hence a "Spot" is displayed. If you ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15 Digital Camera

Sounds like dust on the sensor. If this was a DSLR, you would be able to clean it but that's impossible on a point-and-shoot. If the camera is new and you have photographic proof the spots have always been there, you should be able to get a replaceme ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS15 Digital Camera

I have a Canon SD780IS camera and now notice dark spots on the pictures. I tried cleaning the front of the lens with a Q-tip but they did not go away or move around. I have 2 such cameras . To thansen 3:\012\012Yes, eventually everyone who owns this camera will see these dust orbs in every photo they take once the problem appears, and the problem continues to worsen until you will see no image at all. Lens cleaning I dropped the camera on a muddy field. After drying it has recovered, but there is a remaining spot on the pic's.The spot is more distinct at tele zoom setting, and hardly visible at wide mode. I cannot remove it by cleaning the the lens outside. I guess there is some adhering particle on an internal lens surface. Is it possible to fix it on my own?

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30, with a fixed lens. The lens is scratched, and it does show up in pictures as light cloudy spots. Can I do anything to repair/replace the lens? If I miraculously found another one for cheap, could I switch out the lens?

Two things....my approx.18 month old battery died and i bought a replacement yesterday. is this the normal life expectancy? 2nd. Today, with a totally charged battery, I took eight pictures. Later I wanted to review the pics and when I pushed the on/off button, the lens came out but no image appeared. I could not shut off the camera, so had to pop the battery out. I am not sure now if the lens went back in. I pushed the on button again and the lens moved out; the display lit up with the message

On my GE E1050TW digital camera, when i start it up, it has a list of options such as '640x480p NTSC 4:3' and '720x576p PAL 16:9'. When i choose one of these options, another screen comes up with three options, 'YCbCr444', 'YCbCr422' and 'RGB444'. The first two are shaded grey and the last one is the only one i can click. when i do, the screen goes blank but the power light stays on. What ever i do, i cannot do anything to make my camera work. 3 beeps One day my camera was working fine. The next day, I tried to turn it on and the lens came out just a little and then it stopped and beeped three times. I have a Cuddeback C-1000 trail camera. Mostly all the pics taken at night are black. About every 8-10 pics will take. The rest are black. Apparently the flash is not going off every time. Even in the black pics you can see a faint image. This camera has taken over 15,000 life time images. Cuddeback will want to upgrade my camera for a newer one. I do not want to do this as I have read the reviews of newer cameras and realize their first two models are the best. I think we have had this
