Having problems with your Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T70 Digital Camera ?

Can't turn the flash on, it's set to "off" on default; and when i try to turn it on there is no "on" option in the flash menu, just "off"

Answers :

Check that you do not have the setting on burst as it will not be able to flash in this mode. when looking atthe screen about to take a photo, select menu, the first thingthat comes up is the mode, if it is in burst change in to normal and your camera should now have the option for flash or auto again :) good luck
Look for a menu option, or a mode setting, that says:\012
Indoor Portrait with Flash
The alternative is Indoor portrait without flash and this will set the flash to OFF.

I am using an Olympus E-500. and am trying to use the built in flash, set to one eight or to one sixty fourth of normal output, to trigger an external flash unit. The camera is set to "Vivid", manual, auto focus, and iso 100. From the "manual flash" menu I should be able to select either full, 1/4. 1/16 or 1/64 of the output. However, those choices never light up. I keep cycling through the first two lines of the menu and never reach the third line with the light output options I want. P

Flash has stopped working on my Nikon D40. I've tried a factory reset, tried to get to the flash setting but that menu option is no longer available (highlighted) in any mode. I'm thinking it's broken and not a setting thing. Everything else works fine and it still takes pictures just without the flash. The flash pops up when needed but no flash obviously.

Hi, I have just bought the Panasonic FZ45 and seem to have a problem with the flash. It will not pop up automatically when in "IA" mode. The display actually shows the symbol indicating that the flash is forced off. Have tried to change this using the REC set up menu but to no avail (incidentally the option to force the flash off appears in the user manual, but not on the REC menu). I have searched some of the forums on the web and it has been suggested that the FZ45 does not have an auto fla
