Can't connect to pc through the usb port. I used to be able to connect the camera to any pc by connecting with the cord to an usb port - all I did was connect and switch on the camera and it gave me the option of 'computer' and then it would give me the option to open the files and download onto the pc, but now when i plug it into the usb port and switch the power on the camera just switches on and does not show up in the computer at all so my photo's cannot be downloaded onto my pc

Compatability? Hi, My new Sony DSC-W80 camera is not recognized by my computer (running Mac OX10.3.9).  The camera and cable are fine, since my PC has no problems.  The message on the camera reads "USB Mode Connecting... Switch on [MENU]".  WHen I go to the menu, it gives me different ways to connect to the computer, none of which work.  Any suggestions?

USB connection The computer cannot access the Memory Stick® media in the camera when connected with the USB cable. I connect the camera to my computer using the USB, then after 10 seconds its says there is no device connected to the computer, and then it gives me option to cancel, retry, or continue but it usually connects automatically itself again. The only problem is that I can't do anything with pictures can't copy, delete, or view them. I'ce already tried to delete and reinstall the driver.

I would invest in a memory card reader. You can pick one up for under $20. Using a card reader allows you to avoid having to deal with drivers and such that may or may not be loaded on your PC. A card reader should work just fine for ya. Good luck ... Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 Digital Camera

I have a GE 8.0 megapixel camera E840s. Have always been able to download pictures onto computer with no problems. Now after connecting to computer, my camera says "connecting" but doesn't do anything. Then I get a message about options and if I pick "import photos" it will then begin to import ALL photos which are already on the computer rather than the most current. We deleted many photos to make room, thinking this would help. What's my problem? Thanks.

I haven't used my Olympus FE-20 camera for about half a year, and I just brought it out to take pictures of the snow. Everything was great, but then I had to search for the cord to upload it. I found one that fit perfectly and connected it to a USB port, but none of my three computers notify me of it connecting, nor does it appear in the "my computer" screen. The sd card that came with it doesn't fit in any of the sd slots on the computers, so I'm stuck. I just downloaded the cd that came with i

Hi. I have some pictures on my camera memory card which I want to download, but when I connect the camera to my computer, it only displays one picture old picture which should have been deleted long ago and none of the pictures currently on the memory card. I have just run the anti-virus program when I connected the camera, but no threats were detected, although I previously downloaded pictures on the same computers which did indicate a threat or virus at the time.

When I connect my camera to my computer, it appears to be empty. I have over 1000 photos on it which show on the camera screen, but the computer sees none.
