Having problems with your Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W30 Digital Camera ?

Lens or CCD adjustments/ master reset, Somethin?!!!

\015 I have a dsc-w30 that had some damage done to the lens. The lens would not extend or retract. It was actually bent out of place (don't ask, it's actually my niece's). So I found someone who sells the lens (CCD) assembly online and ordered it for about $50. I installed the lens assembly and now although it works the image seen through it makes everything look like a "negative". It's got digital vertical lines and the colors are black, white and purple. I was wondering if anyone knew of a CCD adjustment or a master reset to possible bring my image back to specs. The LCD display is fine as I can see old photos from the memory card on it. Thanks for the effort.\015

Took Canon A620 apart to replace the motorized lens. One small spring fell out of somewhere in the process. One expert said I need to take the CCD out and that the spring is used to adjust the lens. I do not know what CCD is let alone where the spring goes. I put it back together without it and it appears to be working fine!!!!!!

No picture I have a FinePix S2 Pro that I have had a couple years. Yesterday when I took pictures with it every picture is black when viewed on the LCD screen. The lens cap is off and I have tried several different lenses and memory cards, adjusted the ISO, tried it with and without a flash, but still the same result. I can view previously recorded pictures, so I know its not the LCD screen. Could the CCD have gone bad? Any thoughts by anyone?

Camera lens The lens itself is making a strange noise and it is having trouble adjusting itself when the camera turns on. When I attempt to turn the camera on all you are able to see is a black screen and there is also a buzzing noise which I assume is the lense trying to adjust itself. The lens is trying to push itself outwards but it is getting stuck. I'm not exactly sure what is wrong with it but I assume that once Iam able to fix the lens I will be able to use the camera normally again.

My D80 suddenly stopped taking photos while I was in Auto mode. I noticed the flash stopped releasing. I've changed lenses, reset the camera's green buttons, switched out the card, reset the clock. It will occasionally take a photo, not necessarily in focus, and the flash will on occasion pop, but I can't figure out what the correct triggers are. Can anyone help? Lens is 18-135mm. Set Lens in in "A" and camera is in "AF"mode. Thanks much.

Pink tinge When I shoot a picture in bright sunlight, the picture always has a pink tinge to it. I have a Canon Digital Rebel XT camera using a 75-300mm telephoto lens. My problem with the lens is that at times it is hard to adjust the focus either manually or automatically with the camera. I hear something rattling around inside the lens and at times the lens will not auto-focus and I have to remove the lens and manually twist it to get it back to some normal operation. Photos from my Coolpix LS always appear extremely blue. When I use Photoshop to edit them I have to adjust the color balance on every shot. Sometime the "Auto Adjust" tool is enought. When it is not I move the Yellow/Blue adjustment all to about -85. I move the Majenta/Green adjustment to about -45 and I move the Cyan/Red adjustment to about +15. Is there something wrong with my CCD or is there a software fix for this problem?

My Nikon D40 with Nikkor 18-55mm (owned about 15 months) had a puddle of some fluid under it today (lubricant?) I noticed a fluid around the lens when you adjust it. We took the lens off, and reattached it but is says lens is not attached. Do you think this is a camera or a lens problem? I have a new (3 weeks) D700 and while taking photos yesterday with camera and a 16-35mm lens, the exposure meter went ape. Tried everything, including resetting to factory settings, detaching and reattaching lens, checking switches, and then went home in despair.
