I've had my Olympus FE-340 for 3 years, and I've never had any problems with it before. Now, whenever I try to zoom in, the camera takes white pictures or pictures with streaks in them. I've tried reseting the camera, changing the battery, changing the picture card, switching settings, and turning the flash on and off. Is there any way to fix the white/streaky pictures? Or, does this mean that my camera will no longer work when I try to zoom in?

Fujifilm A330 My camera is doing something rather strange; it's always switched on by sliding the front shutter open all the way, and it's ceased turning on when I do that. In May we purchased a Canon Power Shot 590IS. We love the camera, however, battery life with camera is poor at best. With new high energy digital batteries we get approxiamtely 40 - 45 pictures, with 4 differnt manufactures rechargable batteries, we get 12 - 15 pictures, before the batteries require replacement. The camera was retruned to Best Buys where we purchased it aong with an extended warranty. They keep the camera for 10 days, retruned it saying nothing was wrong. Any suggestions?

I think I'm going to explode if I hear one more "worn out battery" explanation for what seems to be a pretty common complaint. This is my 3rd camera...all ending up with the same problem. I've had the Canon Power Shot A570 for less than a year. Someone suggested changing the settings...but even with brand spanking new batteries, I can't even get it to last long enough to get into the settings. There is clearly a problem here that has NOTHING to do with the blasted batteries.
