Having problems with your Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55 Digital Camera ?

Photos are saved out of order. I take 100 pics, delete 15 or so, and when I take another pic, it is out of order, basically taking the spots of the photos that were deleted. Any suggestions?

Answers :

The file system that is setup gives a file name to each picture as they are taken. so like pic001, pic002, pic003, and so on.

so if you take those three pictures, and delete the second one, it does not rename all the pictures after it. It will just fill the hole. So for example,

you take three pics.

pic1 pic 2 pic3.

then you delete pic2.

pic1 --- pic3

Then you take your fourth pic, it becomes pic2, because that space is empty.

That is how the camera is programed. I don't believe there is any way to change it.

Most cameras take a little longer to capture the photo in darker conditions, with a moving subject, things like that, though if the photos you're taking now are under the same conditions as the ones you used to that shouldn't be the issue. Nikon D50 I have been reading through Fixya to try and find a similar problem. I have a Nikon D50 and have been using it with no problems for over a year. However, now when I try to take photos in AF, nothing happens. It locks up. So, I have to try to take photos in manual. Some come out OK and others not. Very frustrating as I missed lots of xmas pics. When I hit the AF-L button, it seems to work in AF mode. Any suggestions?? [email protected]

Please Help! I bought a Kodak Easyshare Z1485 IS off eBay, and it came with nothing. At all. I just ordered a USB cable from Amazon so I can transfer photos to my Windows XP Pro computer. We are an orthodontic office using the Nikon D7000 to take facial and intra-oral photos. We are noticing that the intra-oral shots taken from 1-2 feet away have spots over the photo that look like freckles. The facial shots taken from 4-5 feet away do not appear to have the spots; however the camera is having trouble focusing at that distance.

I have a Sony Cybershot dsc-s950. It will not transfer any of the photos I take now to the computer. The card is not full and when I take the battery out to reset it that still does not solve the problem. The photos are displayed in the camera but they will not transfer. The USB cable looks ok and the port is not damaged as far as I can tell. Any suggestions?

My Panisonic Lumix was dropped in the lake in its case last summer. I dried it out and it still works great. The only thing is now when I take photos of things that are dark like night time photos or a room painted a dark color small spots show up. I am assuming that those are water spots on the lense. What is the best way o fix this problem? Thanks.

If these spots are in different places on each picture, then they are actually reflections of dust particles in the air from the flash being so close to the lens. If they are in the same place on each picture, then they are indeed water spots on the ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 Digital Camera

My polaroid 300 instant camera is leaving 3 distinct white spots in the exact same location on every photo taken. When you look closly at the photo, you can see the white spots are indentations on the film. I've gone through 4 rolls thinking it might be the film, but I'm beginning to think it's the camera. We own a Fuji Digital camerca model S700 and recently purchased a 1 gig memory card. We were taking photos on the weekend (photos which now can't be replaced) and we had a card error come up and the camera completely froze. My husband took the camera back to Shopeers Drug Mart where we had originally purchased the camera and memory card and they suggested we contact you directly. These photos which we took were of our Granddaughter and her Great Grandparents which are irreplaceable.
