When powering on clock set always appears even when it has been set

Answers :

On some cameras, I read, if you leave them off for more than a day, the clock will reset. If the battery gets removed from the unit, a capacitor has to provide the voltage to store the date, and will not last long. I guess the only thing to try is to leave a charged battery in it, and see what happens. If it still resets, it will take a higher power than me (service, in other words) to figure it out, but hope this helps! If you do have to get it serviced, get an estimate first. Cost of repair can easily exceed the replacement cost of a new camera.

Lcd blurred I have a canon power shot a80 and when i turn it on and try to take a picture, on the LCD display i see a mixture of colour which is not even letting me see the image of the picture i would like to take. If i look through the lens and take the image, i am still able to view the picture I had taken if i set the camera on the view pictures. The mixture of colours on the LCD only shows when the camera is set on take the picture... and it doesn't even do it always. Thanks.

I have a Canon Power Shot A720. Outdoor photos are beautiful. Indoor photos are always grainy/blurry...a lot of noise. I have tried the ISP feature but there are only two choices... 1. Auto or 2. High ISO Auto Either setting, the indoor photos are grainy. Further, there are times when my flash will not work. It won't work on Auto setting or when I try and "force flash" it. No flash and the photo will not allow a picture to even be taken. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have a sony HDR-HC1e camcorder. It works perfectly until I change the battery or switch between mains and battery, it then refuses to start. Not even a hard reset will start it. Leaving it with no power for a hour results in it restarting correctly when battery reinserted although sometimes loses clock setting. I've checked the internal cell and it reads about 3V.

I find that even in a reasonably well lit room my camera struggles to pick up a clear image and always appears to be a lot darker than in real life. I would assume that on automatic setting this shouldn't be the case. Is there a way to solve this problem?

I bought a used T10, but when I power on, it displays the clock setting screen which in itself is normal, you're supposed to set the clock first but the screen is frozen; no button or combination of buttons does anything. Power cycling My T1 sarted turning itself off and on while in the cradle. I was downloading pics to my PC. Power to the cradle is not connected. Only the USB cable. Also, it appears that openning or closing the lens cover is not always turning the camera on and off as it should. Power shows 45 min left. I have removed the battery and it looks OK. I'm having problems with the settings on my Canon EOS 400D. When I take pictures in AV mode I can get quality pictures but in TV or M modes the pictures always come out so dark even when taking them outside in daylight. They are not coming back with a completely blank screen as I can see the outlines of the image. Even when I try different settings nothing improves the image.

I think I'm going to explode if I hear one more "worn out battery" explanation for what seems to be a pretty common complaint. This is my 3rd camera...all ending up with the same problem. I've had the Canon Power Shot A570 for less than a year. Someone suggested changing the settings...but even with brand spanking new batteries, I can't even get it to last long enough to get into the settings. There is clearly a problem here that has NOTHING to do with the blasted batteries.

Sounds like you have a faulty board in the camera or it could be something as simple as a software upgrade, I know some of the Fuji Hine Pix had the same problem and it was the software. Take it back to the Canon. ... Canon PowerShot A520 Digital Camera

I bought a camera from a friend, Olympus e-420. but when i started to use it, i always got dark picture even the flash is already switched on. i'm thinking the built-in flash is delayed, do i have way to make it more accurate? i also noticed when i take pictures it always save's as ORF file. how can i change this settings to a different format? i already tried restoring the default settings but why can't i access the Custom Reset option on the menu bar?

Fuji finepix a400 camera. When I power it on I get the 'date/time not set message'. I can set the date / time and all in well until it is turned off overnight. It has new batteries installed and I get this message even with an external power supply attached. This is most annoying.

I would suggest going to the fuji website to download the latest firmware driver and update the firmware on the camera. ... Digital Cameras

Dim Photos My G3 has begun to take very dim photos, all iso speeds are affected plus Auto mode. It can barely focus, even with the assist light on. If it was the light meter (setting too high an aperture?) it would probably be able to focus, right. When I take a picture it always sets f2.0 1/60 sec, even at iso400. Is it the image sensor?

Put the camera in to the full auto mode. If the pictures are still dark, it is possible that the apature inside of the lens is not working. There is a micro-motor, gear assembly, iris leaf assembly, and a servo amp circuit that drives the apature. Th ... Canon PowerShot G3 Digital Camera

Hello, I have a Kodak easy share z1275 and has worked well for me for almost 3 years. Used it last week with no problems, has never given me any problems. Suddenly on Saturday, I turn it on to take a picture, lens begins to retract and the camera shuts off, it appears that there is a power supply probelm. I changed batteries, even though the ones I had in it were recently installed, but went ahead and put in new ones, and it will not power on. The blue power indicator light begins to come on

To the best ofmy knowledge it has not been dropped or damaged in any way. any suggestions?

My Kodak Easyshare Z1275 has short battery life. sometimes even newly charged 2600 MaH batteries cause problems. Powers up, lens extends, opens screen to set time and date then powers down. Sometimes i can take a picture or two before it powers down. This is a known problem to Kodak but they want $90 to repair it. Can anyone tell me how to repair it myself. If I can't I will throw it away and use my Cannon exclusively.
