My flash no longer works. When I press half-way down, the image on my screen looks as if the subject is lit up, but when I take the picture the flash does not work. Could the flash bulb be burned out? What can I do to fix this problem?

The bulb is most likely the problem, but it could be the high voltage capacitor that triggers the flash bulb, or possibly the transformer that charges the capacitor. I would bring it to a camera shop to see if the bulb replacement will do the trick. ... Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T1 Digital Camera
