If the camera has recently been dropped you may have lens damage that's\015\012preventing it from powering up. If it hasn't been dropped your\015\012problem\015\012may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera - which can\015\012prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera.\015\012Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and\015\012wipe the camera contacts firmly with\015\012a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush,\015\012steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into\015\012the battery compartment during cleaning, then clean\015\012the battery contacts, place the batteries back in the camera and give them a full\015\012charge (assuming that you're using rechargeable batteries). This\015\012cleaning clears\015\012the problem about 80% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, it may be time to replace the batteries,or the\015\012camera may have\015\012a problem that requires professional repair.
