Having problems with your Sony Cybershot DSCW370 Digital Camera ?

I have a Sony DSC-W370 and the outermost glass lens has been scratched (by a piece of sand, I think). It's ruining every shot I take, really, but everything else on the camera works fine. I can't seem to find a replacement part and I wouldn't know how to fix it even if I had a spare. How would I take it apart, for example? What I'm wondering is whether it would be possible to have this outside piece of glass polished and if I do would it ruin the image? I was thinking of taking it to an e

You cannot replace the lens assembly. This must be done by a Sony repair service center. You cannot "polish" the lens without completely ruining it. Replacement is going to be expensive. Get an estimate and then decide if it's worth it.
If you can obtain a replacement lens assembly then you can repair it yourself. Eight screws takes the case off; 1 screw removes the control board; 4 screws hold part of the chassis and screen support; 1 flexiboard ( connecting cable disconnects the screen; remove 2 flexiboards for the lens assembly; 3 plastic tabs hold the lens in place - unclip from the front, after unclipping one from the side nearest the lens - unscrew 3 screws from the sensor back plate and remove L-shaped shim under a U-shaped shim, and remove rectangular black frame-piece - pull out the folded flexiboard from its little box and hold away whilst removing the lens assembly. Pause - have cup of coffee and go into reverse with new lens. Alternatively take lens apart, noting VERY CAREFULLY where all the bits and pieces match. It's likely some of the guide pins of the individual lens barrels have been displaced - glue back in with Superglue - middle plastic barrel with complex guide grooves must be in place first to glue guide pins as there's no way to get them in the grooves afterwards. Video all you do, or at least take photos as you go, to remind what goes where.

My LCD screen is broken on my Polaroid t737. I don't know how it happened, and I didn't take any action untill now. I didn't have the screen cover off yet. I just need to know if I can find a replacement screen anywhere, since I doubt it is even still under warranty. So yeah, if I could buy a new LCD screen that would be great.

Shuts off My camera shuts off in the middle of taking pictures. There are no low battery warning lights, new batteries (and even replaced those with new ones) but the problem is still the same. Does anyone know what the remedy might be. I love this camera and wish it would work like it like it once did. thanks.

My d5000 fell on the floor and the filter glass of the lens broke. i tried taking pictures to see if it's still working but the view from the viewfinder is darker than usual and it would not take pics even if i press the shutter release button. should broken filter glass prevent taking pictures or does this mean there is another damage to the camera apart from the broken filter glass?

The filter should have nothing to do with the images recorded on camera (I assume it's an UV- or skylight filter).I'd say there's some more serious damage to your camera and you should take it to an authorized dealer repair shop. ... Nikon D5000 Digital Camera

Very slow After I take a picture it takes a very long time until I can take another one. The viewfinder lamp swithces slowly from green to orange and the camera is not responding to anything until the lamp stays green. It takes even longer if i used the flash. Anyway I can fix it? I opened the camera and I noticed there is a battery (like a watch battery). Can that be replaced? Anybody knows anything about this battery? Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Humidity Issues Hi! This past week I went on a cruise to Cozumel and Progresso, Mexico. At both locations, once at the pier and once on the ship, the outer and inner lense would fog over and stay like that for 5-15 minutes. The only way I could clear it would be to place the camera in front of a fan (which would "dry" it faster) or fan it with a piece of paper (which took forever - don't really know if this even helped). I have never had this problem before and have owned 3 different Canon c
