Having problems with your Sony Cybershot S650 Digital Camera ?

Bright pictures I have had my Sony Cyber Shot (DSC-S650) for about 6 mo. I have tried all different settings for the flash but almost all of my pictures come out with the person very white and bright. The pictures are fine if taken outside in natural light but anything other than that and my pictures are very white and bright. I have even tried to turn the flash all the way down on the manual setting. This is the third Sony Cybershot camera that I have owned and have never needed to change any o

Hey JAKI-LYNN,
\015\012 I would reset the camera to the factory default settings in case something got set wrong. You can reset the camera in the setup menu and it is called initializing the camera. I would then set the mode dial to either to the soft portrait setting, or the twilight portrait setting. If you still have the problem I would try manually adjusting exposure to underexpose the image, and instructions on how to do this are on page 23 of your manual. I hope this helps!

Flash When I take pictures, all of the faces are completely whited out. It's like the flash is too bright but when I adjust the flash, then it's too dark. I'm sort of confused as to what to do. I would love to be able to use the flash without whiting out all the faces and bleaching out the background. I've tried adjusting the brightness and the flash but that doesn't work. Is there anything else I'm doing wrong?

The flash is either far too bright or not bright enough even when using the auto setting. The flash either doesn't flash at all on "soft flash" and then blinds people when the flash is turned on so it produces very dark faces or bright white images. I've tried using different scene modes but this does not seem to work.

I've had my Olympus FE-340 for 3 years, and I've never had any problems with it before. Now, whenever I try to zoom in, the camera takes white pictures or pictures with streaks in them. I've tried reseting the camera, changing the battery, changing the picture card, switching settings, and turning the flash on and off. Is there any way to fix the white/streaky pictures? Or, does this mean that my camera will no longer work when I try to zoom in?

My Canon EOS rebel suddenly won't take pictures in dim light. The flash pops up and blinks and blinks trying to register the image but won't ever autofocus and take the picture. To autofocus the sensor needs a fair amount of contrast (light and dark eges) to operate. If you're trying to take a photo in a dim room of a dark colored subject for instance the focus won't lock and the camera won't take the picture. Try switching ...
