Having problems with your Sony DSC-T70 Digital Camera ?

File Error shows up when I try to view photos taken

\015 Just got this camera and have taken about 30-50 photos. The last several photos I have taken, it appears to have taken them but when I go to look at them, a black rectangular box comes up and says "File Error", and no photo. What do you think is happening?\015

\015\012The above link describes the following:
\015\012
\015\012
\015\012The LCD screen may display a FILE ERROR message when trying to view a still image on the camera if the image was rotated, modified and overwritten using editing software on a computer. To play images you have taken on the camera, it is recommended that you do not make any changes to the original image files.
\015\012---
\015\012
\015\012Another problem may be that the Memory Stick Pro/Duo or Memory Stick Pro used in the camera has dirty contacts, causing this error.
\015\012
\015\012Or, the memory stick pro/duo is damaged somehow.
\015\012
\015\012Remove and blow out the memory chamber with compressed air, and remove from any adapters and clean with compressed air and then reinsert fully into the chamber for the Memory Stick on the camera.

  1. Turn off the camera. \015\012
  2. Remove the battery pack. \015\012
