FD73 Photo Quality
\015 The photo quality on my prints (printing on HP 800 series printer) just doesn't seem to be as sharp as what I was expecting (4 X 6 photos appear washed out and just not as sharp as what I am use to with regular photo prints). Should I change the Quality setting to fine rather than standard? My printer is new but should I have upgraded to a more expensive printer? Or should I have upgraded my camera?\015\012-- \015\012Brian\015
My experience is that Sony digicams provide more realistic color than some other cameras which boost the color in the same way that Kodak prints are made more colorful than real life. This is unneeded because boosting color is easy with virtually any image managment program . You are better off starting with more realistic color because if the camera artifically boosts the color you may not be able to go back to the way it really was. I believe most professionals would prefer unboosted color from their camera.
There are no low resolution pictures...it just depends on what size you want to print them. The FD73 is only 640x480 and 4x6 might be pushing that resolution a bit. The smaller you set the print size the better it will appear. Try a 4x3 size as an experiment.\015\012Yes, set the camera to Fine mode.

Grainy Pictures I received this camera as a Christmas gift, this past Christmas, and I have not been able to get a decent photo from it yet. The indoor photos are very grainy with a bubble sometimes in the photo. Outdoor photos are too light and also grainy, especially when the zoom is used. I have tried adjusting the image quality and the ISO setting but neither of these adjustments have improved the quality of the pictures. The printed pictures look worse than the images on the LCD screen. I c

Image quality Hi. When I'm taking photos and set my exposure manually on my Canon 20D, the image looks right exposed on my LCD screen, but when I download all the photos on my PC, all the photos are VERY DARK. This takes lots of time for me to edit it and then after I've got the right brightness on my PC I discovered that the image quality is VERY BAD!!! There is lots of noise on the image. Can someone help me to find a solution to correct the exposure on my camera, so that I can save time on my

Canon Powershot G10 image quality problems... I have had my Canon Powershot G10 for 2 years and have had the same problem from the start... it is now driving me mad! When viewing photos in anything other than the supplied Canon Zoom Browser or Photo Professional the quality is poor. The images are noticeably blurred and appear grainy. I normally shot in manual mode with ISO80 and record images in RAW+JPEG. Processing the RAW photos seems to slightly improve the blur (though it is still there)

Blurred pictures I started using my new Nikon Coolpix on Christmas Eve and have taken photos for about 2 weeks. More than half of the pictures are very blurry after I transferred them to my computer and enlarged them to view. My daughter also got a Canon Elph on the same day and her photo quality is much much better. I also own a Nikon D5000 and have always been very happy with the quality, thus my choice of a Nikon pocket camera. Have I made a mistake?

Hi. Very unhappy with quality of Ixus 80is photos. They are not at all sharp, milky, with no depth, in various light conditions. I did comparison identical rural scenic photos with the canon and 2 different 5 megapixel phone cameras. In most cases, the Nokia N95 camera results are far superior to the canon. I have read nothing but good reviews about the quality of pics from this camera so I'm wondering why mine are so bad. Any ideas?

Blurry photos THe last few times I have attempted to use my camera I have had two problems. One, each time I turn it on it resets itself as if I have never used it and goes back to the language selection and and I have to reset the date (which I stopped doing because of the inconvenience every time I wanted to take a photo, so now all my photos say January 1, 2000). Also, every time I go to take a photo, the picture is blurry. I have tried to reset the quality, but it's not helping and, admitted

I had a Sony F707 for quite a number of photos before buying an F717. I found the F717 to underexpose by about 0.3EV relative to the F707, pretty consistently, so I just set the EV compensation on the F717 to +0.3EV most of the time.\015\012\015\012T ... Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-F717 Digital Camera

Grainy, image I bought my Riccoh Caplio GX 5.1 mp three years ago. At first it took the best pictures I could wish for, but for monyhs now I am getting very variable results. Some photos are OK, but many are grainy, "pixleated" - having tiny spots of the primary colours throughout the image. There doesn't seem to be any one situation when this happens. It can be inside, outside, flash or none. The pictures also seem to be a lot darker, so photos taken inside or at night are much poorer quality,

Memory Problem I recently won the first price in a photo contest and received my first ever digital camera. It is a HP 735, 3Mpix camera.
