Having problems with your Videoman Digital Cameras ?

Only works either in reverse mode or drive mode, not both. What do I do? Patty

Hi, usually these camera's only work, in the way you describe? usually, camera is/are disabled when driving forwards, If you have had it working another way? Then perhaps some settings, if there are any, need to be changed? But usually as I said, the way your camera is, working, is, usually the way it works. I presume you wish to "See Behind" you while driving foward? If that is so then you will have to get the camera wired differently, this can be done, although, I would't know the legality of it as you'r not meant to look at a screen, whilst driving. Usually, the camera is wired into the system, and through the Ignition switch, too, and, often have a thing called a "Park" switch, whereby, the Viewer will only work, when the car's handbrake, or footbrake are applied, or the car is in neutral. or in reverse.

I can access the menu funtions when in the preset modes eg. landscape, sports etc. but when i rotate the dial past the Auto mode into the manual settings modes(the creative zone as canon calls them) the menu funtion will not work. I push the menu button and nothing, the remote funtions will not work either. I tried all the other modes and was able to use in in C1 but then I was messing around with that and now won't work in that either. Thank you for your help.

Power/lens Problems I'm having some power/lens problems with my camera. When I turn on the power in either the picture or video mode, the green light will turn on for a split second then turn off. The lens does not come out at all. However, when I try to turn it on with the picture viewer or in the menu it works just fine. When I start with the picture viewer and then switch to the camera it turns off. Thus it seems that whenever I want to take a picture or a movie the camera doesn't work.

Canon Vixia HV30 - I have been reading a lot about it's much touted optical super zoom image stabilization but it either does not work the way it is supposed to or i am doing something wrong or it is another of those overhyped features that does not measure up to the real world scenarios. Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green.
