Flash will only work in auto mode. used to work ok then suddenly stopped working in fill in etc. I thought it was that the batteries were getting low (rechargeables) but have changed them & only works in auto.

I change out the batteries between the rechargeable ones it came with and double A's. I can get it to read the internal memory if I use the cord and connect it to my computer and select reformat. Even if it tells me that it is protected. The lens will not close even after you turn the power off or if you go to review. I cannot upload pictures from the camera to the computer. Repeated pushing of the power button maybe 30-40 times and it turns back on again. Once you get it on it Works fine.
