Having problems with your Vivitar ViviCam 3915 Digital Camera ?

I just bought a Vivitar ViviCam T027 camera. The manual says it will accept sd cards up to 32 gb. My question is, will this camera accept the newer sdhc cards, or only the standard sd cards?

Hi there

\015\012Funny, I recently bought the exact same model. The answer to your question is simple (that's the good news!)
\015\012
\015\012A long time ago, when these small SD Cards first appeared, they were limited in capacity from 128 Megabytes (MB) to a maximum capacity of 2 Gigabytes (GB).
\015\012
\015\012To enable the same size card to store a greater capacity, a new specification had to be created. This new spec. was SDHC, and allowed the cards to store from 4 GB up to 32 GB.
\015\012
\015\012The confusion arises because people still refer to all these cards as 'SD cards' when the higher capacity cards should really be called 'SDHC' cards.
\015\012
\015\012Your camera will accept standard SDHC cards. Just make sure you don't order 'mini' cards which are much smaller in dimension.
\015\012
\015\012Hope this clears up the confusion.

SD cards do not go to 32GB. If your camera manual says it will accept cards up to 32GB, it is referring to SDHC cards. My question is , unless you are shooting a movie for a Hollywood producer, why would you need a 32GB card?

I have a Kodak easyshare m320 which I recieved today. I bought an SD card to go with it because the internal memory is really small. Near the card port, it says it accepts SD cards, and it also says this on the manual, but the card I bought for it is not being read by the camera. I can put the card in my computer and it works fine, though, so I don't know what the problem is. Do I need to do something to my camera in order to make it use the card rather than internal memory?
