Having problems with your Digital Cameras ?
When camera gets turned on, the lens goes in and out of focus a few times and then screen turns blue and displays "D :
5e02" and does not go back to shooting pictures again. But for just looking at the pictures on the memory card, it works if turned on in that mode. If turned on in photo-shooting modes, it cannot be switched back to view photos.

It may be caused by sand, broken gears or any other foreign object in the lens mechanism.
A simple fix is to turn ON camera while holding it with\015\012the lens pointing UP. Another "caveman" solution is to bang the camera over the table to make the foreign object to fall from the lens mechanism! Sounds silly, but simple but research says it\015\012works.
You can also get some canned air and blow it out real good. If that doesn't\015\012work, you may also try to apply some silicon lubricant around the lens to lubricate it, just a little.
Unfortunately, today's digital cameras are "disposable" for repairs. The\015\012rule of thumb is that if the estimate for repair is north of 50% what\015\012you paid for it, you're better off taking that money and buying a newer\015\012and upgraded model.
