Having problems with your Digital Cameras ?

I cannot get the video footage on my memory card to delete. I finally worked out how to transfer it onto Mac and now i cant clear the card? I am following the manual instructions. I now have two 16MB cards that i cant use because i cant remove the videos on them. I have checked that the switch on the card has not been moved, so it isnt that.

Hi, sometimes, these cards may have Write Protection on them, this is a switch/lever on the side of the memory card, if it is there try switching the other way, this usually only works in a PC though..\012\012\012

Also if can be File permissions, you may simply need to "Take ownership" of those files as Administrator, and then delete them. if using a PC.

Now another way maybe to insert the memory card into a USB card reader then the memory card can simply be used as a drive, and as such, even if you couldn't delete the files, you could no doubt Format it, this would have the effect of eradicating the files and restoring it to a blank new mwmory card, that could then be re-used in the camera?

After months of successful use my camera has decided not to accept my memory card. It appears as if two metal stops, one at either end of the part which receives the card, may be blocking it. Also, I may have removed the card while the camera was still on. I have tried two different cards.

I just removed the SD card to view some pictures and now when I put it back in it will not latch and stay down. I have tried two other cards as well and none will latch and stay down. They do not seem to go down as far as I am used to seeing them, like something is in the slot but with a light and magnifying glass I do not see anything in the way. Any ideas? TX DW

The card had previously been used to store files from my PC (where it worked perfectly) but the camera could not format it even after I had removed all the files etc by reformatting it in the PC (FAT32). I have a Nikon D70 camera. I'm using a Lexar 2GB card inside. Problem focuses on the card. Previous to this moment, card has worked fine. Today, shot photos and when I hooked up the camera to download the pics, got an error in the viewfinder (CHR). Looked at the manual, and it said problem was with the card. I removed the card, and placed it in a card reader. It worked fine and I was able to transfer the photos. Replaced the card, and still get the same error. I've already re-formatted the card,

We use our camera for passports, so having the pictures stay in the camera, then hook to camera up to the passport photo printer, is the easiest way to go.
