Having problems with your Canon PowerShot A720 IS Digital Camera ?

Repeated Date/Time prompt.

\015 Camera is less than a week old and every time I power it up, it prompts me for date/time. I fill in valid info, and proceed to shot. However when I plug into my computer to transfer photos it has forgotten date and therefore categorization is horribly invalid. Please help me resolve this issue!\015

Hopefully, you have already resolved this, but if not...

What you will need is to replace the date/time battery for your camera. It is a 3V battery that you can purchase anywhere for $1-$5 and it slides into a small compartment located in your main battery compartment. If you look into the battery area on your camera, you will see a little tab that has CR1220 or something like that. Slide this out and you will see what I am referring to. These batteries should not have to be replaced more than once a decade, however sometimes in rare occurrences, they will die prematurely. It's an inconvenience, but an easy one to remedy.

Hope this helps!
