Having problems with your Canon PowerShot S1 IS Digital Camera ?
Water in camera
\015 I have the Powershot S1IS and purchused the Canon Houseing to use the camera underwater. I have used it for snorkeling and diving over the last two years, and this time while snorkeling, the case leaked, and I noticed it almost immediately, but there was a small accumulation of water in the bottom Till I was able to get back on the boat and get it out of the case to begin drying it. Is it damaged for good, or is it something that may be fixable?\015
It depends how much salt water leaked in really. If it was only a small amount, you may be lucky but the fact is, salt water corrodes extremely fast. The sooner you have your camera looked at the better. If you can see liquid in the lens or viewfinder I would say thats extreme and probably not worth fixing. Good luck!
