Hello, First I will say the problem. Nikon D300 closed itself and never opens. I have Nikon D300 body + Cosina 100-400mm + Nikon 18-200mm VR. Last week I bought these from second hand. Everything was excellent.2 days ago my cosina dropped to floor. every part went to different way. I collected them together. But mechanically there was no problem. Electronically film contacts was teared. So I thought that it makes no difference. I connected my cosina to d300 body. First an error message appe

This is a mind bender, While doing a shoot using monolights connected to a Nikon D1x I encountered exposure problems. After the lights were metered for the best exposure, I started shooting. The first ten or so shots were fine, and all of a sudden the next ten shots looked like they were 8 stops over, and then it went to looking ok. The first thing I did was switch monolights thinking there was a problem with the flash, this did not resolve the issue. Next I switched camera bodies, still the int
I have had this problem before in the past. In my case, it was the lens. The aperture was sticking open intermittently. It would show the correct fstop on the camera display but it was actually stuck wide open within the lens. Check your lens out or ... Digital Cameras
I have a D300 with a 4gig card. Takes 366 images at 12 megapixels. Using CH mode and taking lots of exposures of a couple of subjects plus single exposures the control panel tells me after a total of 212 exposures I have 250 exposures left. Is this normal? or is there a software problem? John Auckram
Unless I'm mistaken, does the camera take the full 12MP when shooting in CH mode? I don't think so and that would explain why you still have 250 exposures left. ... Digital Cameras

Hi, I have a Nikon D300. First problem - The battery started showing empty / full / then empty again. Bought a new battery, worked first time, then the same problem empty / full / empty. Change the camera, kept the 2 batteries and charger. First time I tried to use the 2nd camera, both batteries showed empty. Change the batteries and charger. Charged the two batteries but still show empty! What do I do next?

With the Nikon Coolpix 5700 set to automatic the control panel screen defaults to the exposure compensation screen (p66 of manual).Photos can't be taken unless the 'Lock' button is pressed and held in. Changing the battery had no effect on the problem. Is there a simple solution to this problem ?.

I have a Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 Macro lens working on a Nokon D40X and Nikon D300. For medium to long distances the autofocus does not seem to work with this lens. I think it used to but now I notice that from about 40 feet away the autofocus does not work. The same happens with both cameras. Other lenses work fine so I don't think it is the camera. Is there any history of problems or is it a feature of the lens? thanks, Richard Brand

I just bought a Tokina 100mm f/2.8 AT-X M100 AF Pro D Macro Auto Focus Lens from B & H and put it on my Nikon D300. When I press the button a blinking FEE appears. What seems to be the problem? Thank you.
The FEE error indicates that the camera cannot control the full range of the lens aperture. If your lens has a mechanical aperture ring, rotate the aperture to its smallest opening, or highest f-number - normally marked in orange. Selec ... Digital Cameras
I have a nikon d70 digital camera with which I have shot a few thousand exposures. A number of what seem to be minor software errors have been cropping up. For instance: I can't get the camera to "beep"; I can't format the memory cards using the 2 button system - I have to go through the menu setup; I can't select certain of the image quality options using the "quality" button - I have to go thru the manu. Certain numbers come up unreadable on the control panel. The above problems do not stop

Tokina AT-X PRO 28-80mm 1:2.8 lens has recently developed a problem when mounted on my Nikon D200. The images are way too dark and my only way to obtain usable images is to bracket heavily. This lens has worked flawlessly on film Nikons and, until recently, worked flawlessly on the D200. I am now also having AF problems with the lens. When I attach any of my Nikon brand lenses - no problems. Can you help? I really love this lens.

Hi Guys, I am hoping that someone can offer some explaination for the following. I bought a Nikon D7000 in November and it has suddenly started displaying 3 small doughnut shaped marks on my images. I have not removed my Nikon 16-85 lens from the body so I would not have thought that sensor dust was the problem. To eliminate that the problem is on the lens I have now swapped the lens with my telephoto and the problem is still there! I have just sent an email to the company that I purchased from
Don't kid yourself....most cameras come with factory dust already installed!!! Yours just took awhile to deposit on the sensor. Google the words "cleaning a DSLR sensor" and you will find sites showing you in pictures how to clean the sensor and wher ... Digital Cameras
SAME PROBLEM I didn't drop S60 or hit anything. When turn on the power, a motor vibration noise will be heard. Turn it off and turn it on again may get it work luckily. Appreciation CanadaBruce I was browsing the website since I have a Nikon D80. Considering the fact that Nikon sells this as an amateur camera (meaning not a cheap solution), I suspect their Q&A and test wings are probably getting a lot of flak internally for the problems its users experience intermittently. Besides the F-err with 18-135 lens, I have not experienced other problems yet. I hope and pray to whatever powers there be it stays that way. One way I have tried to get around this problem i
